Following is a list of options for making your credit card payment Online.

Credit Card Online Payment via IMPS

IMPS or Immediate Payment Service is a quick way to make your CC payment online. The service is reliable, inexpensive, and available 24x7. All you need to do is follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Step 1: Log in to the mobile app or website of your chosen bank.

  • Step 2: Go to the ‘Fund Transfer’ tab and select ‘IMPS’.

  • Step 3: Enter your name, credit card number, bank account for payment, IFSC code of beneficiaries, etc.

  • Step 4: Click on ‘Submit’.

Credit Card Payment via NEFT

You can pay your credit card bill online using NEFT or National Electronic Funds Transfer. The steps you need to follow for credit card online bill payment via NEFT are mentioned below:

  • Step 1: Log in to your online netbanking account.

  • Step 2: Add Beneficiary or Biller and enter your credit card details: name of the cardholder, credit card number, bank name, bank location, and IFSC code before selecting NEFT.

  • Step 3: Once the beneficiary details are updated, select it, and proceed to pay.

Note: The payment process may vary from bank to bank.

NEFT allows the interbank transfer of funds from one account to another. As a result, you can use it to transfer money from your savings account to your credit card account.

Credit Card Online Bill Payment via Net Banking

CC bill payment online can be done easily via credit card net banking. Follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Step 1: Log in to your net banking portal using the credentials.

  • Step 2: Go to the bill payment section and choose internet banking. You will be redirected to the net banking service page of the bank via which you are willing to make payment.

  • Step 3: Register and select the credit card for which you want to pay the bill.

  • Step 3: Select total due amount or minimum due amount or any amount you like to pay.

  • Step 4: Click on ‘Confirm’ and the credit card payment will be complete.

Credit Card Bill Payment via BillDesk

You can use the online payment gateway of BillDesk to complete your CC online payment. The steps you would need to follow for the same are mentioned below:

  • Step 1: Go to the BillDesk page of your credit card issuer to pay your credit card bill.

  • Step 2: Enter the credit card number, your mobile number, e-mail ID, and the amount you want to pay.

  • Step 3: Choose the bank whose net banking services you wish to avail and click on ‘Pay Now’.

  • Step 4: Once redirected, enter the login details.

  • Step 5: Proceed to complete the transaction by following the instructions.

  • Step 6: Once authenticated, the money will be deducted from your savings account and your credit limit will be replenished.

Credit Card Payment via Mobile Wallet

Some credit card issuers offer you the opportunity to make your credit card payment online through mobile wallets such as Paytm, BHIM/UPI, PhonePe, etc. Follow the steps mentioned below to pay your credit card bill using mobile wallets:

1. Credit Card Payment via Paytm

  • Step 1: Visit the Paytm website or open the mobile application.

  • Step 2: Go to the bottom of the webpage and click on ‘Pay Credit Card Bill’.

  • Step 3: Enter credit card number and click on ‘Proceed’.

  • Step 4: Next, your credit card will get linked to your Paytm account. Post successful linking, you can complete credit card bill online payment.  

2. Credit Card Payment via PhonPe

  • Step 1: Download the PhonePe app.

  • Step 2: Under the ‘Recharge & Pay Bills’ option, click on ‘Credit Card’.

  • Step 3: Select the credit card provider.

  • Step 4: Enter credit card number and the amount that you wish to pay.

  • Step 5: Select ‘Pay Bill’ to complete online CC payment.

3. Credit Card Payment via Google Pay

  • Step 1: Download the Google Pay app and open it.

  • Step 2: Select your credit card issuing bank by clicking on ‘Regular Payment’. Next, click on ‘Credit Card Bill’. Please note, you must link your account to Google Pay.

  • Step 3: Enter credit card number and verify it.

  • Step 4: Enter the amount you wish to pay and UPI pin.

4. Credit Card Payment via MobiKwik

  • Step 1: Visit the official website of MobiKwik or download the mobile application.

  • Step 2: Select ‘Credit Card’.

  • Step 3: Enter credit card number and bill amount.

  • Step 4: Click on ‘Go’ and follow the instructions.

Do note that the wallet type must support your bank and type of card. Also, you can use only your debit card, net banking account, or UPI address to complete the payment.

5. Credit Card Payment via Visa Money Transfer

  • Step 1: Log in to your bank account using net banking service.

  • Step 2: Select Visa card pay option under the third-party funds transfer.

  • Step 3: Enter the details of sender and recipient.

  • Step 4: Approve the transaction and money will be credited to the beneficiary account within 2 working days.  

6. Credit Card Bill Payment via Auto Debit

Using net banking or a written request, you can instruct your bank to auto-deduct your credit card bill from your savings or current account on the due date every month. Follow the steps mentioned below to make credit card bill payment via Auto Debit:

  • Step 1: Register for the auto debit facility by either posting a written request to the bank or via your net banking account of the savings account.

  • Step 2: Choose to either pay the minimum amount due or the total amount due against your card.

  • Step 3: Once you have registered, the amount will get automatically deducted from your account on every payment due date.

Credit Card Offline Payment Methods

Following is a list of options for making your credit card payment offline.

You can simply go to the issuing bank branch, fill a deposit slip, and make your credit card payment offline via cash. However, do note that you would need to pay a fee for availing the service. This fee varies from bank to bank and card to card. It takes 1 working day to process the credit card bill payment via cash.

1. Credit Card Payment via Customer Care

Some banks allow you to pay your credit card bill instantly through the credit card customer care IVR service. However, you must own a savings account or a current account with the issuing bank. As there is no human interaction and you follow the steps suggested by the IVR, the process is safe and dependable.

2. Credit Card Payment Through Debit Card at ATM

If you own a debit card from the issuing bank, you can go to any ATM of the bank and make your credit card payment through a debit card. Since the amount gets instantly transferred from one account to another, the process is quick and easy.

3. Credit Card Payment via Cheque

You can even pay your credit card bill by drawing a demand draft (DD) or a cheque in the name of the issuing bank and depositing it at the bank branch or ATM dropbox. However, do note that it can take up to 3 business days to clear the cheque if the credit card issuer and cheque issuing bank is the same or else, it will take 5 working days. In case of an outstation cheque, it might take 12-21 days to process the cheque.
