Benefits of Making SBI Credit Card Payment on Time

There are many benefits of making your SBI credit card payment on time. Here is a closer look at the top advantages of this healthy financial habit.

1. Improved Credit Score

Your repayment history contributes most to your credit score. So, if you make your SBI credit card bill payments on time, your credit score will improve. By always paying the bill on or before the due date, you can ensure that your credit score remains above 750. This, in turn, will give you various benefits like easy loan approvals and credit card approvals.

2. Pre-Approved Loans

With a good credit score that stems from prompt SBI credit card payments, you may be eligible for many pre-approved loans too. These loans typically come with attractive interest rates and minimal or no documentation required. If you give your consent, the loan amount will be credited to your account.

3. Credit Card Upgrades

If you pay your SBI credit card bills on time, the bank may also give you other benefits like an extension of your credit limit or credit card upgrades. Upgrades generally include bigger and better rewards, higher cashbacks and better discounts or offers on partner products and/or services.

4. Elimination of Late Fees and Penalties

When you make your SBI credit card payments without any delays, you also do not have to pay any late fees or penalty charges. It also means you won’t have to pay any interest on the outstanding credit card balance, which is a good thing because at around 2% to 3% per month, credit card interest rates can be extremely steep.
