How many days after my application can I track my PAN card status?

You have to wait for up to three days after submission of your PAN card application before you can check its status.

How can I check my PAN card status on my mobile?

You can check your PAN card status by sending an SMS with your acknowledgement number to 57575, or you can call the TIN Customer Care team to learn the status. Additionally, if you are using a smartphone, you can use it to look up your PAN card status on multiple websites.

How can I know my PAN card status through UTI if the acknowledgement code has been misplaced?

If you don’t have the acknowledgement code for your PAN card application, you can still track the PAN card status by getting in touch with the customer care centre of UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited (UTIITSL). To contact the customer care centre, you can call on either of the following two numbers - +91 33 40802999 or on 033 40802999 between 9 AM and 8 PM on all days. Alternatively, you can also write an email addressed to utiitsl.gsd@utiitsl.com to track your PAN card.

Is it possible to track the postal status of my PAN card after it is dispatched?

Yes. Once your PAN card is dispatched, you should receive a tracking number on your registered mobile number. You can use the tracking number to check the postal status of your PAN card online. If you don’t have the tracking number or if you’ve misplaced it, you can retrieve it using the 15-digit acknowledgement code you received when you submitted the PAN card application.

What does it mean if the PAN card status is ‘Application is inwarded’?

When you check your PAN card status, if you receive a message stating that the ‘Application is inwarded’, it essentially means that your PAN application has been successfully received by the concerned authorities and is currently being processed.

PAN card status reads 'No matching record found.' What does this mean?

If the ‘No matching record found’ error shows up when you track your PAN card status, it might be indicative of non-receipt of your PAN application or the supporting documents by the concerned issuing authority - UTIITSL or Protean eGov Technologies Limited. If you’ve couriered the PAN application or the supporting documents to the issuing authority, you can check its postal status by using the tracking number you would have received to get to know its whereabouts.

My PAN card application is being blocked from processing due to insufficient details/documentary proof. What do I do now?

You might receive such a message when tracking your PAN card status if there are any discrepancies in the PAN application that you submitted or if you haven’t attached all the necessary documentary proofs. In this case, the first thing that you need to do is contact the customer care of the issuing authority to get more details on why your application was rejected. The customer care executive will also help guide you on what to do next. You may be required to resubmit your PAN application once again after rectifying all the errors or mistakes.
