JBL Charge 3 20 W Portable Grey Bluetooth Speaker

I was torn between the UE Boom 2, the Bose Soundlink Mini II and the JBL Charge 3 but after extensive reviewing, I chose to go with this one since the UE distorted at higher volumes and the Bose didn't have enough bass punch.

1) Delivery: Great service by bajaj EMI STORE. Product was properly packaged and delivered a day before expected date (standard delivery)

2) Product Genuineness: Since this speaker is not officially available in India and is imported from outside, there is a chance you may believe your product is fake. After some checking I found out that "Sahil International" is the sole authorised imported of JBL products in India as of September 2016. All JBL speakers are sold by him or if you're buying from another seller it's pretty normal he might have bought from him. If your speaker has an import sticker from Sahil International on the box, you're good to go no matter the seller.

Now coming to the speaker
Pros:
- Form Factor is really good. You can keep it horizontal or vertical and it won't fall due to the grooves in the sides.
- BASS KING!! -If you want heavy bass, look no further.
- The bass radiators on the side vibrating while the song is playing looks really sick.
- Power Bank - It doubles as a power bank (6000 mah) I haven't tested it yet but a good feature to have
- Water Resistance - It's not waterproof but splash proof and works well even underwater
- Immense Battery - JBL advertises 20 hours of battery on a single charge at 50% volume but in reality it's much much greater than that. I play my songs at approximately 60% volume and I've used the speaker for around 20 hours and it still has 1 of 5 lights on (~20%)
- All round performance - While this certainly packs a good bass punch, it is one of the most all round speakers I've heard... doesn't matter what kind of songs you like, it'll excel at playing them

I was initially confused between the Charge 3 and the Bose SoundLink Color II. However, after checking some reviews on YouTube I decided to go for the the JBL. The sound signature is amazing - a bit biased towards base but not over the top. However at full volume the base output seems to reduce. Overall clarity wise I feel Bose might have been slightly better but then the Color series has too many customer complaints where people faced issues with connectivity which swayed my decision. Also the Charge 3 is much much louder, has a better battery backup and one of the best features is it can pair with another Charge 3 and play in Stereo mode. Trust me if your friend/ family has one (a friend of mine got the Grey one after I got mine) and you pair them you will be blown away. The stereo separation is great and I feel for the price (I paid 8.5k during Republic day discount) these speakers are a must buy. The battery backup has been better than I expected lasting for almost 2-3 weeks with 3-4 hours playback (I don't feel the need to go over 50% volume). One more thing, I wanted Black ones but bajaj EMI STORE wouldn't ship the Black one to my Whitefield address so had to go for the Red one. But I love the Red color now :)

Brilliant product. A friend have Flip 4 so I was looking for the same but suddenly saw the Charge 3 at just 1k extra, didnt know about the model so did some research and took it. Got it at just 8,400. Awesome sound, I mostly like bass base musics and its just built for that. Way different than Flip 4. If you are a bass lover then just go for it. Charge 4 already in market but not sure if its came in Indian market.

Got it from Appario Retail Private Ltd it has good reviews but the the one I got its main seal was tempered, like someone already opened it. But inside everything was factory pack like. Also checked with barcode and its definitely a genuine one. So if you have any doubt like many buyer said about fake product then 1st check with barcode.

Most important, the stock Charge 3 has connect feature which can pair with another jbl speaker (1+1) but flip 4 and other newer models have connect+ feature which can pair with 100 jbl speaker. If you use phone app JBL connect there is a new firmware available, upgrade and it will upgrade to connect+. So the charge 3 also can connect upto 100 speakers ??????

Hey guys after alot of research this is what i chose as my first premium speaker, believe me when i say a lot of research cause there are very few reviews of this speaker on youtube and the internet so this speaker is amazing, awesome sound quality, portability and connectivity but there were a lot of competitors for this speaker and by defeating all the odds it all came down to the price that is 9000 bucks yeah guys i bought it the original and the amazing jbl charge 3 for just 9k and can you believe it there are lot of fakes so beware open the pakage on the spot and see if the speaker has a good amount of weight if yes then its original there are some videos which distinguish the original so go watch it and check it, so now the prime competitor was jbl charge 4 and some others but they were no match for this because the price was awesome and where the jbl charge 4 cost 14k with a major change of just having a single speaker and not a stereo it wasn't having any major changes as such which could attract me so i grabbed this moment and just bought it!

Got this one for 9999 during bajaj EMI STORE sale. Was expecting thunderous response after reading the reviews but after all it's a Bluetooth speaker and is meant for small to mid sized rooms only. Overall performance is good. Sound is nicely loud and balanced with a above average decent bass. I didn't found any distortion on top volume. Don't expect it to give a sound performance of a home theatre. It will just fill your room with ample sound which is enough for listening to music or watching movie. Connectivity is superb while going to another room. Pairing is also good and found no hassles in it while pairing it to my mobile or my bajaj EMI STORE fire stick. Nicely built and looks durable. Can easily be taken while travelling. Haven't tested the battery and water test yet. Will update once I will be going through the same. Overall a nice Bluetooth speaker to have.

I LIKE - This is a wonderful product. Sound quality is awesome. Build quality is good too. This is IPX7 - ie. this is waterproof for 30 minutes at 1 meter depth provided you the port cover snapped in. Splashes of water is no problem. But then don't keep dipping in the water.
Connectivity is good. One can plug headphone out to line input of JBL Charge 3 and play directly. Bluetooth connection is already there. One can use JBL Charge 3 as a powerbank too for charging their smart phone on the go.
I DID NOT LIKE - The side base radiators are open and susceptible to physical damage. Only if JBL could have covered it with some strong mesh this would have made my day. This would have made it easy to pack and go. Now I have to purchase a hard case to put it in my backpack.
I WANT - songs playable through the given USB port by just pluging in my collection in a USB flash drive.

I ordered this product in sale for Rs.8100 after 10% intant discount on SBI cards. A 100% genuine product delivered to me. Ordered in blue color. Was really confused between JBL Flip 4 and charge 3 but the latter one is ultimately the better option since the price difference was not much. Sound quality is amazing, Build quality is rugged and premium, feature rich plus overall a best performer. Worth for this price since I also compared the prices for same with retail shops near my area in Mumbai western suburban but definitely bajaj EMI STORE is the cheapest. Might be an old version of the Charge series from JBL but definitely lives upto the expectations for its price range. Also it can be upgraded to JBL 'Connect +' feature via its JBL connect app (which is very stupid app) but gets the work done. Go for it without any 2nd thought!

I was looking to buy a Bluetooth speaker and was confused on charge 3, charge 4 and Sony xB 31. I did a considerable amount of research and went through a few comparison videos on YouTube. The Sony was out of the equation because of the sound quality on it and now I was confused between charge 3 and charge 4. The only thing in favor of charge 4 is JBL Connect+ while charge 3 has JBL Connect, and bigger battery but, the cost is higher too. Fortunately I read somewhere that JBl released a firmware update for charge 3 which will upgrade the JBLConnect on it to Connect+. So if a bigger battery is not that a big deal for you, do yourself a favor and go with charge 3.
And I almost forgot, it has dual drivers while charge 4 has a single driver, which although doesn't really make a noticeable difference in the sound quality but is in favor of charge 3.

This is an amazing device and completely defies it's size,
I own a Polk Woodbourne and should not compare that with this, but this has the capacity to fill an entire room size 14x14 with crystal clear sound.
Contrary to what i have seen in other reviews that it's bass is sometimes overwhelming, I do not think so,
I would suggest using any Equalizer available and then use the appropriate equalizer mode or custom mode as per the song genre,
The mid range plays out nicely if an equalizer is used and completely transforms it's output . I love it.
The only thing I miss is the stereo effect, so, I am planning to buy another one to pair them and get the stereo output to fill my room.

Bass is good as expected from JBL. I found treble a bit weak. Vocals and midrange frequencies sound good too. Overall sound quality is impressive . Just dont expect it to replace primary music system in your house and you will love it. Bluetooth range is awesome. I tried playing it in living room while the mobile was in bedroom. It played well even though it was not in direct line of sight. Full marks here. Rubberised base gives good support to the speaker so that there is no vibration to spoil the sound.

Product looks original. I am yet to register it with JBL.
