Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is India’s leading automobile manufacturer. Incepted in the year 1983 with a broad vision to motorise India, Maruti began as a joint venture between the Government of India and Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan. Today, the automobile giant sells over half a million cars a year, with the brand cementing its ‘common man’s car’ status. With the launch of Nexa, Maruti aims to gain significant ground in the premium SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) and sedan segments with Maruti SUV cars.
Over the years, Maruti Suzuki SUV cars have managed to consistently make it to the top 5 selling cars in the market. One of the major reasons for the Indian auto giant’s success is the value for money it offers. This is true even when it comes to the more premium SUV segment. Maruti currently offers two models Maruti Suzuki SUV cars in its portfolio: The Brezza and The S-cross.
The Brezza’s boxy silhouette and upright stance give a strong road presence. The latest 2020 model gets very few aesthetic upgrades, which is a good thing. These updates include new bumpers, LED headlights and new alloy wheels that add glamour to the overall look. The car also gets a 9” infotainment system which is a much needed upgrade to the interiors. The car comes powered by a 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine. The engine is smooth and quiet, there’s enough pep at low speeds. Overall the car is packaged very well.
