  • As of July 2019, over 2 crore users are registered on DigiLocker and it provides access to over 352+ crore e-documents, from 124 issuers.

What is mParivahan?

  • mParivahan is a government app used to access documents like driving license, vehicle registration certificate, insurance validity, etc.
  • The app can also be used to check vehicle details such as owner's name, vehicle’s model, fuel type, vehicle age, vehicle registration date, etc.
  • mParivahan has a user-friendly interface and is available on android and iOS.

These online platforms will help you to access your vehicle documents with ease and avoid hefty fines. As per the recently passed new Motor Vehicle Act, 2019, motorists driving without a license may now have to pay Rs 5,000 as fine and/or do community service, whereas motorists driving without motor insurance may have to bear Rs2,000 as fine and/or imprisonment up to 3 months.
