Steps to Download Driving Licence Application Form

To get a driving licence application form, you have to visit the local Regional Transport Office or Authority (RTO/RTA). Most states in the country have also digitised the process of filling the driving licence application form, which means that you can download the driving licence online application form from the RTO or Sarathi website.. After downloading the form, you have to submit it to the concerned RTO with the requisite documents.

All you have to do is enter your DL application number and Date of Birth (DOB) to download your application form from Sarathi website. The DL forms available for download and print from the Sarathi website are as follows:

Documents Required Along With the Driving Licence Form

While you appear for your driving licence test, you also have to submit the following documents:

  • The downloaded driving licence form, which has been filled with the requisite details, and signed

  • Passport sized photos.

  • Age certificate, which proves that you are an adult above the age of 18 years.

Step 6: After you are successful in the test, you will be provided with a driving licence as per the established procedure.

Parts of Driving Licence Online Form

Before filling in the form, you must remember that the form is divided into six parts, and you have to provide the correct details in each. The parts of the form are as follows:

Part A: It consists of details like type of licence required, name of RTO, applicant’s name along with other details, and blood group.
