The procedure of getting a duplicate licence is simple and quick.
You can apply for a duplicate driving licence in online and offline modes. Currently, the facility of getting an online duplicate driving licence is not available in all the states of India.
To check whether your state RTO renders this facility, you can visit the official RTO portal of your state.
The steps that you need to follow for getting a duplicate driving licence are -
Visit the RTO portal and fill out the LLD application form.
Scan all the required documents and upload them along with the application form.
Get a printout of the LLD form.
Submit the form along with the important documents to the RTO that generated your driving license in the first place.
Within 30 days of LLD form submission, you will get your duplicate driving licence through speed post.
A receipt will be provided by the RTO that you can use as an alternative to your driving licence until you receive your duplicate DL.

You will receive your duplicate driving licence within 30 days after the entire application procedure is completed including submission of required documents.
