According to the Motor Vehicle Act, a driving licence test is held and governed under the supervision of RTO officials. How to Apply for an International Driver’s Licence in Telangana
To get an International driving licence in Telangana, you do not have to give any test but it is mandatory to have a permanent driving licence in Telangana. The application procedure to get an International driving licence is -
Visit the nearest RTO and get Form 4A. You can also get the form by downloading it from the official website.
Enter all the required details in the form and attach the supporting documents like passport, visa to the concerned country, current driving licence.
For an International driving licence, the fee is Rs. 1,000. Submit the fee along with the application form at the nearest RTO.
The submitted documents will be verified. If the verification process is completed without any faults, you will receive your International driving licence.
Note - The International driving licence will be valid only for the next 1 year from the date of issue.

Applying for Duplicate Driver’s Licence in Telangana
There can be times when you might need a duplicate of your driving licence from the RTO due to theft/misplacement of your present driving licence. In such a situation, you need to follow the following steps -
Get the LLD form. You get it from the nearest RTO or download it from the official portal.
Fill the form and submit it along with the required documents to the nearest RTO.
Pay the fee of Rs. 200 to the concerned official.
The verification process will take place. If there are no faults found in the details and documents, you will receive a duplicate copy of your driving licence in Telangana.
