Australia Visa Requirements for Indian Citizens

To apply for an Australian visa for an Indian citizen, he/she has to meet certain requirements. These requirements are based on the type of visa that you are applying for; however, there are general requirements that we have listed below.

Medical test for Australian visa

Indian citizens may have to undergo a medical test to apply for an Australian visa in some cases. The test has to be undertaken by an Australian immigration panel physician in India. The doctor or radiologist must be authorised by the Australian Government as a member of the panel to perform medical examinations on visa applicants who have applied from outside Australia.

Generally, if you are above 15 years, you may have to go for a medical test for Australian visa in India. Tests may include medical examination, chest x-ray and HIV test. However, in some cases you will also have to undergo the following tests:

Australia work permit for visa fees in India for Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 489) is AUD 1060. For Temporary Work (skilled) visa (subclass 457), the applicant will have to pay AUD 3600. Both these Australian work permits are valid for up to 4 years.

  • ✔️How many points do I need for an Australian visa?

    Unless you are applying for a permanent resident visa, you don’t need points to apply. If you are applying for a PR, you need at least 65 points.

    The PTE test is only required for certain visas, not all. You need a minimum PTE score of 36 for student visas and at least 65 points for a skilled worker visa.
