Launched in 2000, Bhoomi RTC is Karnataka's flagship project that facilitates easy land record management. RTC stands for Record of Rights, Tenancy and Crop. It is also known as ‘Pahani’ in Kannada. Farmers require the RTC document while selling their land, getting a loan, or getting an electricity connection.
The Government of Karnataka introduced Bhoomi Online, which is the state government portal, to provide digital access to land records and ensure transparency.
You can access the following details through the Bhoomi Karnataka land records portal:
Description of the type of land
Details of the landowner or joint owners
Details of soil type
Description of commercial, residential, agricultural, non-agricultural, and flood area

This initiative primarily streamlines the loan disbursement procedure for farmers who are landowners. To achieve this, it connects Bhoomi records to computerised financial networks. Since all banks in the states have access to the website, the loan procedure gets completed quickly.
A revenue map contains information, such as the area and division of the piece of property in issue. You can view it easily on the Karnataka land records portal.
When an agricultural landowner opts for this provision, they can use the land for any non-agricultural purpose. All they need to do is submit a self-declaration based on the approved master plan of the total land area.
You can access the portal in English and Kannada.
