Make sure to keep your acknowledgement number ready before you head to the NSDL portal to track your PAN Card. The acknowledgement number is a unique 15-digit code that is generated for you as soon as you successfully finish your PAN Card application.
Head to https://tin.tin.nsdl.com/pantan/StatusTrack.html on the NSDL portal.
3. Once on the NSDL portal for tracking your PAN Card, go to the drop- down menu for Application Type and select PAN - New/Change Request.
4. In the field provided on the following line, enter the Acknowledg Number as requested.
5. Authenticate the process by entering the captcha code shown on the screen. You can also opt to ask for a new captcha code.
6. Once you have entered the correct code, click on ‘Submit’, and your PAN Card status will be displayed to you.
It is important to remember that the PAN Card tracking through NSDL can only happen after 24 hours of the application being filed.
2. Track PAN Card Status on UTIILTS
With multiple ways to get a PAN Card, several people opt to apply for a PAN Card through UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited (UTIILTS). If you have submitted your application for a PAN Card through UTIILTS, you will receive an application or application coupon number that will allow you to track your PAN Card status. Enter your PAN Card number or your application coupon number in the fields provided.
Enter your date of birth in the format specified on the portal.

Ways to Track Your PAN Status Via SMS Service
While you have previously learnt how to track your PAN Card through online channels, you should know that it is also possible to carry out PAN tracking through means that do not require a smartphone or an internet connection, such as by sending an SMS. However, it is essential to remember that it is only possible to use this method after three days after your PAN Card application has been submitted. Note the 15-digit acknowledgement number you received while applying for your PAN Card.
Send an SMS to 57575, with the text “NSDLPAN,” followed by the 15-digit acknowledgement number you have been issued.
