What's Covered?

  • Incidents of Theft/Burglary

    In case your baggage gets stolen the Baggage Cover plan covers your financial loss up to the maximum sum assured under the plan.

  • Protection in Case of Fire/Riot/Strike

    In the unfortunate event of your baggage getting damaged on account of a fire, riot, strike, or terrorist activity, the cost of repair and replacement will be covered by the Baggage Cover plan subject to the maximum sum assured under the plan.

  • Comprehensive Coverage Extending to Family Members

    The Baggage Cover plan covers not just you but your family members as well. This means that if baggage belonging to your family members is lost or damaged on account of any of the reasons stated in the policy document, it will be covered by the Baggage Cover plan.

What is not covered?





  • Loss or Damage in Transit

    Loss of or damage to your or your family’s baggage while being transported by any carrier under a contract of affreightment is not covered.

  • Jewelry, Valuables, and Fragile Materials

    Loss of jewelry or other valuables contained within the baggage is not covered by the plan. Similarly, damage to fragile materials such as lens, glass, or chinaware is not covered.

    CPP is the insurance provider.





  • ✔️What documents are required for making a claim?

    Duly signed claim form, an incident report by the customer, a copy of FIR in case of theft or copy of the report from fire brigade in case of fire, and a canceled cheque. Certain other documents may also be required in special cases.

  • ✔️How will the claim be settled?

    Payment for the claim may be settled either through NEFT or through a system cheque.

  • ✔️How much premium do I have to pay?

    You have to pay a premium of Rs. 599 per annum for the Baggage Cover plan.

  • ✔️What is the amount of cover provided under the plan?

    The Baggage Cover plan provides a cover of up to Rs. 50,000.

  • ✔️Is there any Policy Excess on the claim amount?

    Yes, in case you make a claim, you will be charged 5% of the claim amount as policy excess unless you have been in an accident.
