What's Covered Under Bipolar Disorder Care?

Here’s what will be covered under this insurance policy:

OPD/Doctor Consultation Benefit – This benefit offers policyholders to consult a doctor (specialty or general) that has a BHMS, BDS, MBBS and BAMS. The cover is provided for the same in accordance with the amount specified under the plan.

Subscribers are required to present an invoice of the consultation such that reimbursement for the same can be processed. This reimbursement should clearly evidence the date of consultation, consultation fees, the doctor’s name and specialty, doctor stamp, customer details and registration number for reimbursement. You may choose to utilise your entire benefit amount in one sitting or you may spread it out over multiple consultations.

Lab Test Package (Prime Network) – This package comes with a number of predefined tests that are aimed at identifying and minimising risks in addition to detecting illnesses early on. Policyholders are allowed to undergo a checkup each policy year for a pre-defined lab test package as indicated in the package of their choice. These tests are available to only those mentioned under the policy. These tests can only be taken at Bajaj Finserv Health Prime partner hospitals and laboratories which will be updated regularly.

Network Discounts – Discounts provided under this plan include a 10 percent discount for OPD consultations, radiology and lab, health packages and plans, pharmacy expenses, spectacles, and dental procedures. A 5 percent discount is applicable to the room rent. In the event of an IPD admission, the ambulance ride is free. These discounts will be applicable to only those that operate within the Bajaj Finserv Health Prime network, there may be exclusions to this.

Session Benefit (Gym, Counselling, Yoga, etc.)

This benefit will include a variety of benefits including counselling with specialists as mentioned in the policy document. This benefit will cover all members listed under this plan.

What’s not covered under Lab Test Package – 

  • This package is not applicable outside of the Bajaj Finserv Health Prime network. 

  • In the event that the home collection facility is unavailable at your location, you may have to physically visit the medical centre.

  • This package is only available to an adult mentioned under this policy. 

  • This policy plan can’t be transferred to another member. 

  • Carry forwards aren’t permitted even if that plan is renewed. 

  • Benefits cannot be redeemed against cash. 

 

Exclusions Under OPD/Doctor Consultation Benefit – 

  • Coverage isn’t provided for any medical treatments or procedures that a policyholder might undergo.

  • Carry forwards are not permitted even if the plan is renewed. 

  • Benefits may not be transferred to others unless they are covered under the policy.

  • This benefit can’t be added to another facility.

 

Exclusions to Network Discounts –

  • Discounts cannot be combined with other benefits or services. 

  • These discounts are only available within centres specified under the Bajaj Finserv Health Prime network.

You can raise a claim in any of the following methods:

  • Select your purchased plan from the ‘Health Plans’ section

  • Select ‘Radiology and Lab Benefit’ or ‘Doctor Consultation’, whichever is applicable

  • Enter all the relevant details 

  • Upload an image or copy of your invoice

  • Share your bank account related details 

  • Attach one cancelled cheque to validate your claim

  • Submit your claim

  • Your claim shall be reimbursed in forty eight working hours
