What's Covered under Online Banking Protection Cover?

  • Online banking protection

    This plan covers 1 card for a year and provides a coverage of up to ₹ 1,00,000. · The plan provides coverage of the claim for cases where the Allianz Partners checks if the mentioned card is recorded in their system. · All cards must have a built-in chip-and-PIN technology.

  • Lost card liability

    · There is a waiting period of 15 days pre-reporting and 7 days post-reporting. · Any loss arising out of fraudulent usage of lost/ unauthorized/stolen cards on ATM/POS/EDC terminal/E-commerce anywhere in the world. · Any PIN-based transactions (Internet, ATM, etc.) from stolen/lost cards are covered, provided the PIN is acquired under coercion by an unauthorized person. · Cardholders should cancel/block the card as soon as possible, but not after 7 days from the date of notification of fraud transaction via Card statement/SMS/email/Net Banking or by any other means. · Claim to the Bank/Allianz Partners should be made within 15 days from the date of receiving the statement or date of blocking, whichever is earlier. · Police report or FIR is to be compulsorily submitted in case of a lost card.

  • Counterfeit/ Skimming

    Losses arising out of counterfeit or duplicate cards as issued by the bank created without the insurer’s knowledge. · Cardholders should cancel/block the card as soon as possible, but not after 7 days from the date of notification of fraud transaction via Card statement/SMS/email/Net Banking or by any other means. · There is a waiting period of 15 days pre-reporting and 7 days post-reporting. · Claim has to be brought to notice by the cardholder within 15 days from the date of notification of fraud or the date of the statement containing the counterfeit transaction, whichever is earlier.

  • Online Fraud Protection

    The plan covers all types of fraudulent online utilization of credit cards using the authorized CVV issued to the cardholder by the bank. · Covers issues arising out of any damage or loss of card transactions using the authorized PIN issued to the cardholder by the bank. · There is a waiting period of 15 days pre-reporting and 7 days post-reporting. · Cardholders should cancel/block the card as soon as possible, but not after 7 days from the date of notification of fraud transaction via Card statement/SMS/email/Net Banking or by any other means.

What’s not Covered under Online Banking Protection Cover?

1.    Any claim due to an intentional breach of the law would not be covered.

2.    Gross negligence will not be covered.

3.    Compromised 2nd level authorization transactions and Pre-delivery fraud are not covered.

4.    Claim will not be covered in case the card issuing authority/bank reimburses the customer for the loss or reverses the transactions.

5.    Password-based transactions are not covered unless both OTP/secure PIN source and the card are lost as per an investigation by issuing bank, internet service provider, mobile, police report and FIR.

6.    Allianz Assistance will not provide coverage for any claim indirectly or directly arising from the following:

 

  • The loss suffered by the cardholder because of the misuse of credit cards at any site that does not have authorized Verisign Security status or any other equivalent security status.

  • Any duplicate/failed /declined transactions by authorized bank/host website.

  • Any errors made by an authorized bank/host website.
