An add-on SBI Credit Card is a supplementary card issued on the same account as an existing primary SBI Credit Card. It is given to close family members, so they can use the shared credit limit for their own expenses. The primary cardholder remains responsible for repayment. All add-on cards run on the same card network as the primary card and follow the same overarching cardholder agreement and terms.
Eligibility for an add-on card depends on who the primary cardholder is and which family members they want to include. It may also come with some internal status checks.
Must Hold an Existing SBI Credit Card
Only existing SBI Credit Cardholders can apply for add-on cards. There must be an active primary card account before any supplementary card is issued.
Issued Only for Immediate Family Members
You can request Add-on cards for parents, spouse, siblings and children, provided they meet the minimum age requirement.
Minimum Age of Add-on Applicant
The Add-on card applicant must be at least 18 years old to be eligible for issuance of the card.

Limit on Number of Add-on Cards
Against each eligible primary card, you can apply for up to three Add-on cards on the same account.

SBI Card may decline any add-on card application as per internal policies and guidelines, even if basic eligibility appears to be satisfied.
The add-on card journey is an end‑to‑end digital process with minimal paperwork. However, certain details and KYC information are still mandatory. You mainly need Aadhaar-based details and a few personal particulars of the Add-on card applicant to complete the application.
Aadhaar card of the Add-on applicant is mandatory to complete KYC verification during the application process.
Full name, date of birth, and gender of the add-on card applicant
Relationship of the add-on applicant with the primary cardholder (such as parent, spouse, sibling or child)
Optional mobile number of the Add-on card applicant (needed for purposes like enabling UPI on RuPay add-on cards with a distinct mobile number)
Email ID of the Add-on card applicant, where applicable
A valid photo of the add-on card applicant, as per specified size and clarity guidelines
KYC verification is typically done digitally through DigiLocker using the Aadhaar details shared, keeping the overall process paperless.

1. Visit the Official SBI Card Website
Go to www.sbicard.com and log in to your SBI Card account using your existing user ID and password as the primary cardholder.
2. Choose the Add-on Card Option
In your logged in dashboard, select the option to apply for an Add-on card as part of the digital flow on the latest version.
3. Enter Add-on Applicant Details
Provide the add-on applicant’s name, date of birth, gender, relationship with you, mobile number (optional), email ID, Aadhaar number and a clear photo as specified.
4. Complete Aadhaar‑based KYC Via DigiLocker
Use the Aadhaar details to complete KYC verification through DigiLocker as instructed during the online process. Aadhaar is mandatory for add-on card KYC.
5. Submit the Add-on Card Request
Review the information entered and submit the application online; SBI Card may then evaluate the request as per internal policies and confirm issuance.

Log in using your primary card credentials on the SBI Card app installed on your smartphone.
2. Navigate to Add-on Card Section
From the app menu, choose the option to apply for an add-on card, which starts the same end‑to‑end digital process as on the website.
3. Fill Applicant’s Information and Aadhaar
Enter the add-on applicant’s personal details, including Aadhaar number and relationship with you. Upload a suitable photo as per size and clarity guidelines.
4. Complete KYC via DigiLocker and Submit
Carry out KYC verification using DigiLocker and Aadhaar. Then, submit the add-on card request directly in the app.
After approval, the add-on card will be delivered to the primary cardholder’s registered mailing address. All statements and communications continue to go to the primary customer, who remains solely responsible for credit card bill payments.
