To apply for ration card online in Jammu and Kashmir, follow these steps:

• Step 1: Visit the official website: http://rcmsjk.gov.in/ and choose ‘Public Login’ under the ‘Sign-in/Register’ option on the top right

• Step 2: Select ‘New User! Sign Up Here’ 

• Step 3: Now select ‘I want to apply for new Ration Card’ 

• Step 4: Enter the required data and click on ‘Get OTP’ 

• Step 5: Fill in the OTP received via SMS on your mobile number linked with your Aadhaar number and click on ‘Verify OTP’

• Step 6: Once you have been registered, click on ‘Click Here to Login’ 

• Step 7: Now choose the ‘Registered User’ option in the ‘Self Service For Ration Card’ section

• Step 8: Login with either with your Aadhaar number or using the password you had set earlier 

• Step 9: Select the ‘APPLICATION REQUEST (Apply for New Ration Card)’ option

• Step 10: Choose the District, Tehsil and Village and click on ‘Add Member’ 

• Step 11: Enter beneficiary details of the Head of the Family, upload the documents required and click ‘Save’

• Step 12: Add other members, if needed 

• Step 13: Click on ‘Card Type Details’ and select the right one from the options 

• Step 14: Choose ‘Address Details’ and enter the information 

• Step 15: Click on ‘Attached Enclosures’ and attach the required digital documents in PDF 

• Step 16: Click on ‘New NFSA Criteria’, select the suitable category and attach your income certificate

• Step 17: Click on ‘FPS Details’ and choose the nearest Government Sale Depot/Fair Price Shop

• Step 18: Click on ‘Submit Ration Card for Verification and Approval’ and click ‘OK’ on the pop-up

Alternatively, visit https://jkapd.nic.in and use the ‘Self-Service for Ration Card’ feature:

• Step 1: Click on ‘Self-Service Ration Card’
• Step 2: Enter Aadhaar and verify via OTP
• Step 3: Fill in household details, upload documents
• Step 4: Submit for verification by the local department
