Steps to Claim for YSR Aarogyasri Health Scheme

  • Claim Process for Beneficiaries 

Beneficiaries simply have to present their YSR Health Cards to a Vaidya Mitra for verification. In case they do not possess a physical card, the beneficiary may provide the YSR Health Card number to the same. In case, there is no physical proof of enrollment, the details are obtainable through the Aarogyasri Trust.

  • Claim Process for Hospitals 

The hospital must obtain authorisation for any surgical treatments. The trust can only fulfil claims if hospital authorities meet the following:

 

  • The hospitals are pre-authorised to perform a treatment that has been approved under the scheme.

  • The claim is filed at the earliest.

  • The claim amount is less than the pre-authorised limit.

  • There exists photographic evidence of the treatment for claim settlement.

The Dr YSR Aarogyasri portal can also be used to collect claim documents, intimate claims, scrutinise claim documents, etc. The following information is verified once the claim is filed and received -

 

  • The patient’s identity

  • Treatment evidence

  • Claim amount in relation to the authorised amount

  • Case management with respect to prior authorisation

Eligibility Criteria for Dr YSR Aarogyasri Health Scheme

Residents of Andhra Pradesh need to be eligible to avail of the benefits under the Dr YSR Aarogyasri Health Scheme. The eligibility criteria are as follows -

 

  •  The applicant must have less than 35 acres of land (wetland + dry land).

  • The applicant must fall under the municipal property tax-paying families having less than 3000 sq. ft.

  • Outsourcing, contractual, part-part employees, and sanitisation workers having annual income over ₹5 Lakhs are eligible under the scheme.

  • The applicant can be an Honorary remuneration employee or a private sector employee.

  • The applicant cannot have more than one car.

  • The families filing IT up to ₹5 lakh are eligible under the scheme.
