Speech therapy is the assessment and treatment of speech disorders. A regular health insurance plan generally provides financial coverage for expenses that you incur towards speech therapy. However, some health insurance plans restrict the coverage for speech therapy costs only to children and do not offer coverage for speech therapy expenses incurred for adults. Alternatively, if the speech disorder is a result of a critical illness, the critical illness add-on cover would typically provide coverage for the speech therapy.
