To apply for the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana, there is only an offline process available. Currently, no online application process has been launched by the Rajasthan Government. So, here’s how you can proceed with the enrolment for the BSBY:
The applicants for the Bhamashah Health Insurance Scheme should visit the nearest network hospital.
As every network hospital shall have an individual appointed for the BSBY application process, the applicants can take their help.
The applicant must duly fill and sign the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana application form and submit the required documents to be registered under the health policy.

Pre and Post-Hospitalisation Expenses: The BSBY health scheme covers the expenses incurred for 7 days before getting hospitalised and 15 days after getting discharged. So, you can rest assured as the cost of medical check-ups, follow-ups, diagnostic tests, etc. are covered!
Treatment Packages: Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana has a number of treatment packages covered under the scheme. The packages shall also include expenses such as nursing charges, medications, blood, room rent, food for the hospitalised beneficiary, consultation fees, etc.

The individual must be covered under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013, and Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY) to register for the BSBY.
Only the family members of the beneficiary can avail insurance coverage under the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana.

Bhamashah Card
You can avail the healthcare benefits available under the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana with the Bhamashah card. It is issued in the name of the eldest female member of the family; the government shall open a bank account in the beneficiary’s name. This enables the female member of the family to get direct access to the grants offered by the government under the Bhamashah Yojana.
The Bhamashah card is linked with the beneficiary’s mobile number so that they can receive updates via SMS. Once all the family members have been registered under the BSBY scheme, the card will be issued within 2-3 months and the policyholder shall be notified through SMS.
How to Download the Bhamashah Card
To download the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana card online, you must register yourself at the Rajasthan SSO website. Here are the steps you need to follow:
- Step 1: Go to the Rajasthan SSO portal and register yourself (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/register)
- Step 2: Click on ‘Citizen’ and choose a suitable registration option from Bhamashah ID, Aadhaar ID, Google, etc.
- Step 3: Now, you might be required to provide your personal details such as your name, mobile number, email ID, etc.
- Step 4: After registration, log in to your account by entering the SSOID and password.
- Step 5: Click on the ‘Bhamashah Yojana’ option present on the page.
- Step 6: Click on the ‘Enrolment’ option and then the ‘E-Card Citizen’ option.
- Step 7: After providing the required details, you can easily download the Bhamashah card online.
Activation Process for Bhamashah Card
Follow these steps for the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana card activation process:
- Step 1: Register yourself under the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Scheme.
- Step 2: Click on the ‘Bhamashah Citizen Enrolment’ option after a successful registration.
- Step 3: Enter the registration number and fill in the required details in the ‘Bhamashah citizen enrolment form’.

- Step 1: Go to the Rajasthan SSO portal (https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/register)
- Step 2: Log into the SSO portal using your SSOID and password.
- Step 3: Choose the ‘Edit’ option present on the screen.
- Step 4: Make the required changes and click on ‘Save’.
Eligibility Criteria for Bhamashah Card

The applicant should be a resident of Rajasthan.
The applicant must be a BPL (Below Poverty Line) cardholder to be eligible for the BSBY scheme.

How to Make a Claim Under Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana
As the Bhamashah Swasthya Bima Yojana is a cashless health scheme, the healthcare expenses incurred shall be directly settled by the insurance provider. In the event of a medical emergency or planned treatment, you must take your Bhamashah card and ID proof to a network hospital. After the insurer authorises the cashless treatment, the policyholder can seek medical care. The hospital shall send the hospitalisation bills and receipts to the insurance company and the claim shall be directly settled.
