If an e-challan has any technical problem, the vehicle owner can point it out too. They can do so by sending an email to helpdesk-echallan@gov.in. They can also call on the following number 0120-2459171 between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

 

You can easily raise an e-challan complaint if you have received a challan on a traffic violation wrongfully. It may take up to 15 days for them to consider your grievance and report back to you.

How to File Complaint Online against a Wrong E-Challan

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has provided people with the facility to complain against a wrong traffic challan being issued. Follow these simple steps to raise a complaint against a wrong challan:

 

Step 1:  As per the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, you get a direct link to the official portal to file an e-challan complaint. You need to visit the official website of E-challan - Digital Traffic/Transport Enforcement Solution at: echallan.parivahan.gov.i

 

Step 2: Now that you have opened the link successfully, you need to click on compliant. Look for the Grievance System page. The direct link to the page is: echallan.parivahan.gov.in/gsticket/

 

Step 3: Upon visiting this link, you need to log into your account. You must enter all the information correctly including your name, your contact number, your challan number which you would have received on your registered mobile number.

 

Step 4: After filling in all the necessary details, you have to upload the proof of the e-challan complaint. For this, use the upload option and fill in the Captcha code correctly.

 

Step 5: Once the uploading process is complete, the last and final step is to click on the Submit button.

 

Now, you know how to file a wrong e-challan complaint. These steps will ensure that your complaint for the e-challan number has been successfully done.   • Mention your e-ticket number and fill in the Captcha code. 

  • Now click on ‘Check the Status’

  • You will get the latest status of the grievance displayed on the screen.
