As a reputed credit information bureau, Experian strives to ensure the availability of accurate and updated information in its credit reports to the consumers. However, there could be situations where the information in the Experian credit report might not tally with the information at your hand, resulting in an erroneous credit score.

In case of such discrepancies, the Experian Dispute and Query resolution mechanism is at your service to rectify and resolve your credit score or credit report errors.

You may contact the ECICI (Experian Credit Information Company of India Private Limited) Consumer Support for any of the following:

  • In case of a query regarding your credit report.

  • If you want to raise a dispute on your credit report information.

  • In the event of any general query related to the status of the credit information report.

What information can be corrected in the Experian report?

The Experian credit company enables you to correct any erroneous information on your credit report as long as it is legitimate. The change is only made once Experian verifies the claim.

Let us assume that your recorded personal information is entered incorrectly, then you are required to submit support documents while filing your query. Once the information is assessed to be incorrect, it will be rectified in the system. Similarly, if there is an error with your credit report information, you may bring it to the notice of the company. They will verify the same with the bank and update it in your report.
