What is Covered?

  • Incidents of Theft/Burglary

    In case your refrigerator gets stolen the Refrigerator Insurance plan covers your financial loss up to the maximum sum assured under the plan.

  • Accidental Damage

    Repair or replacement on account of accidental damage to your refrigerator is covered under the Refrigerator Insurance plan.

  • Standard Fire Cover

    In the unfortunate event of your refrigerator getting damaged on account of a fire, the cost of repair and replacement will be covered by the Refrigerator Insurance plan subject to the maximum sum assured under the plan.

What is Not Covered?

  • Refrigerators Older Than 1 Year

    Refrigerators older than 1 year as counted from the invoice/bill date are not covered under this policy.

  • Loss or Damage Due to Normal Wear and Tear

    Like all machines and appliances, refrigerators too suffer a certain degree of wear and tear due to daily use which is normal. Any loss or damage on account of such normal wear and tear will not be covered by the Refrigerator Insurance plan.

  • ✔️What documents are required for making a claim?

    Duly signed claim form, an incident report by the customer, a copy of FIR in case of theft or copy of the report from fire brigade in case of fire, original bill/invoice, repair bills (in case of partial damage). Certain other documents may also be required in special cases.

  • ✔️What is the amount of cover provided under the plan?

    The Refrigerator Insurance plan provides a cover of up to Rs. 50,000 or Rs. 1,00,000 depending on the make of your refrigerator and the plan selected.

  • ✔️How much premium do I have to pay?

    Depending on the plan you have selected, you have to pay a premium of either Rs. 399 per annum for low to mid-range refrigerators and Rs. 799 for high-end refrigerators.

  • ✔️Is there any Policy Excess on the claim amount?

    Yes, in case you make a claim, you will be charged 10% of the claim amount as policy excess.

  • ✔️Are there any other exclusions not covered under the policy?

    Yes. Damage due to deliberate misuse, electrical or mechanical failure not arising out of an accident, or gradual wear and tear are not covered unless specified. For a complete list of exclusions please read the policy document.
