The state government issues ration cards in Telangana separately for every village, district, and city of the state. Here is a step-by-step guide to check your name in the Telangana ration card list:

1. Go to the official website of the EPDS Telangana

2. Click on ‘Reports’ in the list on the left corner of the screen

3. Select the ‘Ration Card Report’ option. To know the status of your Telangana Ration card 2025, select the ‘FSC status report’ option from the list mentioned.

4. You will then be redirected to the next page. Select the district and the closest shop number for your convenience.

5. A list of ration cards under the selected shop will appear on the screen on the next page

 Three types of ration cards are issued by the government to the people of Telangana:

• Antyodaya Food Security Card: The Antyodaya Food Security Card (AFSC) Telangana ration card is issued by the state government to households above the poverty line

• Food Security Card: The Food Security Card (FSC) Telangana ration card is issued by the Telangana state government for households below the poverty line

• Antyodaya Anna Yojna Cards: This category of Telangana ration cards is issued to the financially weakest sections of the society

There are 3 types of ration cards you can get in Telangana. Details of each of these cards are as follows:

Antyodaya Food Security Cards (AFSC)

Urban households that have an annual family income of less than ₹2 Lakhs can get this card. Meanwhile the income requirement is ₹1.5 Lakhs for families settled in rural regions. Furthermore, the land that applicant owns must not be more than 3.50 acres in case of wetlands and 7.50 acres in case of dry land to be eligible for this ration card.

Antyodaya Anna Yojana Cards

This card allows people belonging to specific demographic and ethnic groups to enjoy the benefits of subsidies rates on food. The following can apply for an Antyodaya Anna Yojana Card:

• Widows over the age of 60 who are the head of the family

• Specially abled individuals over the age of 60 who are the head of the family

• Craftsmen

• Rural artisans

• Marginal farmers

• Landless agricultural labourers

Food Security Cards (FSC)

This card is given to families that are not eligible for any of the aforementioned ration cards and have a stable income.

• You must be a Telangana resident

• You should not hold/own any of the Telangana ration cards (AFSC, FSC, or Antyodaya Anna Yojna Cards)

• You should belong to an economically weaker section (EWS) of the society

You must submit a completed application for ration card Telangana with valid documents, including:

• State Domicile: It proves that the applicant is a permanent resident of the state of Telangana

• Passport-size Photo: You must submit two recent passport-sized photographs

• Aadhaar Card: A photocopy of the Aadhaar card will be required as a proof of identity

Here’s how to apply for ration card in Telangana through MeeSeva centres:

1. Download and print the application form from the official Telangana MeeSeva website or visit your nearest MeeSeva centre for the Telangana ration card application form

2. Fill in all the details and attach the documents mentioned above with the Telangana ration card application form

3. Submit the form at the nearest MeeSeva centre

You can download the Telangana Ration Card application form from the official MeeSeva website by following the steps mentioned below:

1. Open the official MeeSeva website and select the ‘Other Links’ option

2. Click on the ‘Application Forms’ from the dropdown list

3. On the next page, select ‘Civil Supplies’. For a new application form, click on ‘Application for an FSC (Food Security Card)’.

4. The form will be automatically downloaded on your device. Print the Telangana ration card application form after the download is complete.

5. Fill in primary details like name, address, etc, and secondary details like qualification, income, etc., in the Telangana ration card application form. Attach the documents with the form and submit it at your nearest MeeSeva centre.

6. Visit the nearest MeeSeva centre to submit the Telangana ration card application form. The centre administration will ask for a nominal fee with the application form.

    

Once approved, you can proceed with TS ration card download via the EPDS portal.

2. Select the ‘FSC Search’ tab on the portal. On the next page, you can enter any of the following details to know the status of your Telangana ration card: Ration card application number, FSC reference number, Old Ration Card number (if applicable), or district.

3. After entering the details, select ‘Done’. The status of your Telangana ration card 2025 will be displayed on the screen.

To Add a Name:

Adding a new family member (like a newborn or spouse) to the ration card requires a formal request:

1. Visit the nearest MeeSeva centre

2. Submit the 'Add Member' application form

3. Provide supporting documents such as:

   • Birth Certificate

   • Aadhaar of the new member

   • Existing FSC (Food Security Card)

4. Pay the applicable service charge and collect the acknowledgement slip

To Remove a Name:

If a family member is deceased or has moved to another household (due to marriage or relocation):

1. Visit MeeSeva and fill the 'Remove Member' form.

2. Submit documents like:

   • Death Certificate or marriage proof

   • Aadhaar of the member (if applicable)

   • Existing FSC copy

3. The changes are typically updated within 2–3 weeks

Once a grievance is submitted via the online system or at a MeeSeva centre, it can be tracked using these steps:

1. Visit the EPDS (Electronic Public Distribution System) Grievance Portal - https://epds.telangana.gov.in/

2. Click on ‘Grievance Status’

3. Enter the Reference ID or Registered Mobile Number

4. Click Submit

5. The current status and expected resolution time will be displayed

The system logs officer responses, allowing applicants to follow up accordingly.

The Telangana EPDS grievance redressal platform allows residents to report issues such as delayed ration card delivery, e-KYC errors, and incorrect cardholder details. It works by logging each complaint and assigning it to the relevant district authority.

How Does the System Work:

When you submit a complaint, it is assigned a Grievance ID and routed to the relevant officer. They review your case and provide updates via the portal. You can check the status using your Grievance ID or mobile number.
