The application process for the Super Top-up plan is quite easy. You can follow the steps below to apply for Super Top-up 1:

  • The person covered under the policy must be in the age group of 36 to 50 on the last birthday.

  • Only women are eligible for this policy.

  • The individual must be an Indian citizen.

What's Covered Under Super Top-up 1 Cover?

Listed below are the few inclusions of the Super Top-up 1:

1. Hospitalisation expenses

The Super Top-up 1 plan covers all your hospitalisation expenses. The policy will cover your regular and ICU room rent. The upper limit on the room rent is Rs 5,000 per day, and the limit increases to Rs. 10,000 for an ICU room.

 

The maximum amount for any other hospital rooms is restricted to 1% of the total sum insured. The policy also covers the cost of domiciliary hospitalisation.

2. Pre-existing diseases

After a waiting period of 4 years, you will become eligible for coverage for different pre-existing diseases. 

3. Ambulance expenses

The cost of a road ambulance up to Rs. 1,000 is covered under the policy if you avail of an ambulance during an emergency.

4. Day Care Procedures

The policy gives you coverage for about 527 daycare procedures.

The policy is valid for one year. However, you can get it renewed every year.

What’s not Covered under Super Top-up 1 Cover? 

Some aspects of hospitalisation and treatments are not covered under the Super Top-up 1 plan. These exclusions are:

1. Physical Consultations and OPD

The policy will not cover the consultation cost if you meet with a doctor to discuss your health concerns. 

2. Cost of dependents

The policy only covers the individual who buys the policy. The Super Top-up 1 policy covers no dependents.

3. Pre-existing conditions

Suppose you have a pre-existing condition, and four years have not passed since the diagnosis. In that case, the condition will not be covered under the policy.

4. An emergency arising from war

If you need hospitalisation or treatment because of a war, the treatment will not be covered by the policy.

5. Willful exposure

If the hospitalisation results from self-harm or deliberate exposure to danger, the policy will not cover it.
