Devraj URS Housing Scheme

Ashraya Housing Scheme

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Niwas Yojana

This scheme is intended to assist people from the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes reserved communities. Under this plan, the applicant gets a subsidy of ₹1.75 Lakhs to build or purchase a home through the state government.

Chief Minister’s Multi Storeyed Bangalore Housing Scheme

To help poor residents of the state, the Karnataka government introduced the Chief Minister’s Multi Storeyed Bangalore Housing Scheme. The purpose of this scheme was to provide one lakh multi-story houses to the economically deprived people of the society. This plan gives the option to choose any flat as per your choice after making the payment. 

Vajpayee Urban Housing Scheme

The Vajpayee Urban Housing Scheme (or Vajpayee Urban Vasati Yojane) is a housing initiative under RGRHCL. Its aim is to provide housing for the urban poor by offering subsidies, financial aid, and loans to eligible groups. These include single women, the disabled, ex-servicemen, and other socially and economically backward families. It focuses on helping the homeless and providing them with basic amenities. 

Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana

Since RGRHCL is a state-level body in Karnataka, it also helps implement housing projects, under the PMAY umbrella (both urban and rural). Ashraya is an official online portal of Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited. This was launched to simplify the application process of affordable housing schemes for residents of Karnataka. You can easily fill application forms for any housing scheme available under the RGRHCL project on this portal. Through the portal, you can:

• View your application and the latest RGRHCL status

• Check the RGRHCL beneficiary status

• Learn more about the availability of land for new schemes

• Check the number of completed houses

• Get updates on current and upcoming housing schemes

You can follow the steps below to check for grant release on the RGRHCL Ashraya portal:

1. Navigate to the online website of Ashraya at https://ashraya.karnataka.gov.in/Index_Kan.aspx.

2. Click on the ‘Grant Release Report’ under the ‘Reports’ tab.

3. Select the area of your residence, that is, Urban or Rural.

4. Select the year and week, and enter the Reference Number.

5. Click on ‘View’ to see the details on your screen.

You must fulfil the following eligibility criteria for RGRHCL housing loans:

• You must be a permanent resident of the state

• You must be a woman/widow/widower/senior citizen/ex-soldier/physically challenged

• Your annual income should not be more than ₹32,000

• You should not own any flat, land, or house in any other state

• Homeless individuals can also apply under this scheme

• You must have the required documents like an Aadhaar card, identity proof, income proof, etc.

• You must not be a participant in any other similar programme

• You should not own a pucca house in Karnataka or any other part of the country

1. Go to the RGRHCL official website at ashraya.karnataka.gov.in/.

2. Click on ‘Beneficiary information.’ 

3. Enter your ‘District’ and ‘F. Number.’

4. Click on ‘Submit’, and the screen will display the RGRHCL beneficiary status. 

Here is the step-by-step process to check the land availability status on RGRHCL:

1. Go to the RGRHCL official website at ashraya.karnataka.gov.in/.

2. Under the ‘Rural Information’ section, go to the ‘Availability of Land.’

3. Get total lands available with private holders and the state/central government.

Here are the steps to check the name correction report on RGRHCL:

1. Browse the official portal of RGRHCL

2. Click on ‘Reports’ on the top menu bar

3. Wait to get redirected and click on ‘Name Correction Report’

4. Choose between ‘Rural’ or ‘Urban’ from the top bar, and proceed to choose the scheme based on the district

The ideal time to apply for the RGRHCL is the first week of January. This is because the gram panchayat revises its applicants' list on a yearly basis. Here, the applicants need to submit Form Number 1 to register their respective applications.
