Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana List (PMAY List 2025)

The Government of India launched the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) with a vision to provide affordable housing for all. It started the PMAY-Urban scheme in 2015, followed by the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana list in 2016. 

To date, the government has sanctioned approximately 4.21 Crore houses through this scheme. The PMAY scheme is open to families across various income brackets. 

If you are eligible for the scheme, you can apply for it through the online portal https://pmaymis.gov.in/. To find out if your application has been successful, you can check the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana list of beneficiaries.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana list provides key personal and financial details to verify beneficiaries under the scheme. These include: 

• Name: The full name of the individual receiving the benefit

• Application Number: A unique identifier assigned to each PMAY application for easy tracking

• Father’s Name: Included as an additional identity marker

• Registered Mobile Number: The mobile number linked with the PMAY application

• Income Category: Specifies the income group, such as EWS (Economically Weaker Section), LIG (Lower Income Group), or MIG (Middle Income Group)

• Loan Details (if applicable): Includes loan account numbers, property value, loan sanction date, and disbursement date for those receiving financial support

• Other Information: Covers details such as the date of entry and the current status of the application

The PMAY provides affordable housing support under two categories: Urban (PMAY-U) and Gramin (PMAY-G). The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana list 2025 shows whether your name has been approved as a beneficiary. 

PMAY-Urban (PMAY-U)

• You can check the PMAY-Urban list by visiting the official PMAY(U) portal, entering your application number, Aadhaar number, or mobile number, and verifying your details online

• Assistance is provided under four options – Beneficiary-led House Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), In-situ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR), and Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS)

• You can receive central assistance of up to ₹1.5 Lakh per house, along with interest subsidies on home loans

• The scheme’s progress can be tracked online on the official PMAY portal. By 2025, over 119.31 Lakh houses have been sanctioned, 93.81 Lakh houses completed, and investments of ₹8.16 Lakh Crore have been made

• The system ensures transparency, with application status and details displayed online

PMAY-Gramin (PMAY-G)

• Implemented by the Ministry of Rural Development, the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana list addresses the housing needs of rural households. 

• Priority is given to families without homes or those living in temporary houses with 0, 1, or 2 kutcha walls and a kutcha roof

• The scheme aims to increase the minimum house size, provide financial aid of up to ₹1.30 Lakh, and encourage eco-friendly housing designs

• A Panchayat-wise permanent wait list ensures that eligible rural households identified through surveys, such as SECC 2011, are included transparently

The Union Government prepares the PMAY-Urban list of beneficiaries based on the income bracket to which the family belongs. It uses Aadhaar Card, voter cards, and other unique identifications from the Revenue Authority to avoid duplication. 

For PMAY-Gramin, it uses a three-stage validation process that includes the Socio-Economic Caste Census 2011, Gram Sabha approvals, and geo-tagging. 

The compilation of PMAY beneficiary lists takes place using SECC 2011 and Awaas+ data to identify households lacking adequate housing. 

Priority is assigned based on deprivation indicators such as absence of an adult member, female-headed households, disability, or landlessness. Verification of draft lists takes place in Gram Sabhas, grievances are addressed, and an Annual Select List is published and updated each year.

1. Visit the official website of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban at https://pmaymis.gov.in 

2. Click on 'Search Beneficiary' and enter your Aadhaar number

3. Click on ‘Show’ and check your name in the list

Here are the steps to follow to check the PMAY-Gramin list:

1. Go to the official website of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin at https://awaassoft.nic.in/ 

2. Click on the 'Stakeholder' tab, and a drop-down menu will appear

3. Select ‘IAY/PMAYG Beneficiary’ from the menu

4. Enter the registration number on the new page and enter the Captcha code 

5. Click on the ‘Submit’ button

Follow these steps to get the list of banks under the PMAY scheme:

1. Visit the https://pmayuclap.gov.in website 

2. Select the CNA-PLI List on the home page

3. Choose the PLI banks list that you want to view from the following categories:

   • National Housing Bank (NHB)

   • Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO)

   • State Bank of India (SBI)

4. View or download the list

2. Click on the ‘Awaassoft’ tab and then choose ‘Report’ from the drop-down menu 

3. Click on ‘Beneficiary details for verification’ under the ‘Social Audit Reports’ tab

4. Select the relevant options under the ‘Selection Filters’ section

5. Enter the captcha and submit the information

6. Click on ‘Download PDF’ available under the submit option
