What's Covered?

  • Treatment Charges

    This policy provides insured individuals with coverage for the treatment of accidents. This includes hospital room rent, medicines, and tests in addition to ICU, transfusion, and doctors’ fees

  • Accidental Hospitalisation

    Insured individuals are provided with coverage for inadvertent, accidental hospitalization amounting to the sum insured caused while traveling via a plane, bus, train, a rented cab, a rented bike, or on a cruise or ship. This, of course, is dependent on the diagnosis being backed up with a clinical confirmation provided by a qualified consultant neurologist and the admission to hospital, and claims for the same are made within the policy year.

  • Pre-hospitalisation

    Pre-hospitalization expenses are covered provided they are incurred immediately prior to the insured individual’s date of hospitalization of daycare treatment (if availed of) as per the limits specified in the policy schedule / certificate of insurance. This is provided that the claim is admissible under ‘Accidental Hospitalization Cover’ and the Pre-hospitalization Medical Expenses are related to the same Injury.

  • Doctor’s Fees

    In the event that the insured individual needs to visit a doctor, coverage is provided for the same prior to and during hospitalization.

  • Diagnostic expenses

    Medical tests conducted during the pre-outlined pre-hospitalization period or during the hospitalization period are provided with coverage as per this policy.

  • Medication

    Expenses incurred as a result of purchasing medicine required as a result of hospitalization pertaining to accidents are provided with coverage.

  • Post-hospitalisation

    Post-hospitalization expenses covered provided they are incurred immediately post the insured individual being discharged from the hospital of daycare treatment (if availed of) as per the limits specified in the policy schedule / certificate of insurance. This is provided that the claim is admissible under ‘Accidental Hospitalization Cover’ and the Pre-hospitalization Medical Expenses are related to the same Injury.

What is not covered?

  • Pre-existing diseases are not covered by this plan

  • Dental treatment, orthodontic treatment, dentures, or surgery of any kind are not included unless necessitated due to an accident and require a minimum of 48 uninterrupted hours of hospitalization.

  • Dietary supplements and substances which can be purchased without a prescription (unless of course, prescribed by a medical practitioner)

  • Rest care, rehabilitation, and respite care i.e., expenses pertaining to admission in a hospital focused on enforced bed rest and not treatment

  • Unproven treatments

  • The treatment of addictions of any kind including but not limited to alcohol and drugs or consequences that arise owing to these addictions

  • Treatments received in health hydros, nature cure clinics, spas, or similar establishments, or private beds registered as a nursing home attached to such establishments or where admission is arranged wholly or partly for domestic reasons.

  • Prostheses, corrective devices and/or medical appliances, which are not required intra-operatively for the illness/ injury.

  • Expenses for cosmetic or plastic surgery or any treatment to change appearance unless for reconstruction following an accident
