Aadhaar has been made mandatory for a variety of services, and users are required to have their Aadhaar card with them at all times. However, carrying the original Aadhaar everywhere leads to a risk of losing or misplacing it. To make things convenient, UIDAI has come up with a mobile app - mAadhaar, using which you can download and carry your Aadhaar card on your smartphone.
The official Aadhaar app - mAadhaar App, was launched by UIDAI to give a platform for Aadhaar holders to carry their demographic data and photograph in their smartphones. This ensures that no one other than the user has access to the Aadhaar data stored in the app.
You can easily download the mAadhaar app on your Android & iOS smartphone by following the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Go to the Google Play Store and search for the mAadhaar app.
Step 2: Once you reach the app page, tap on “Install”. The app will be installed on your smartphone in the background.
Step 3: Open the installed app and grant the necessary permissions.
Step 4: Now, create a password. This password will be used every time you login to the mAadhaar app.
You can easily add your Aadhaar profile to the mAadhaar app that you downloaded on your smartphone. It is worth noting that the mobile number registered with Aadhaar must match the mobile number of the smartphone on which you installed the app. Just follow the steps mentioned below to add your profile to the mAadhaar app:

Step 7: The app identifies the UIDAI SMS and submits the OTP automatically.
Step 8: Your Aadhaar details will be downloaded to your smartphone via the app.
Step 9: Now, you can use the mAadhaar app to access your Aadhaar card online anytime.
