All landholder farmers are eligible for this scheme
They or any of their family members should not be a taxpayer in the previous assessment year
The agricultural land should be strictly used for farming purposes
Applicants should fall under the category of marginal and small farmers
The beneficiaries who are excluded from Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme are as follows:
Farmers who are present or former post-holders of the Constitution
Servicing or retired employees under the State or Central Government
Employees working for different autonomous institutions under the government
Retired people with a monthly pension above ₹10,000
People belonging to professions such as engineers and doctors
Income Tax payers of the previous assessment year
The benefits that eligible individuals can enjoy under Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana are as follows:
The government offers financial support of up to ₹60,000 regardless of the size of land that one owns
This amount is given in three instalments for the judicious use of funds:
April to July: ₹2,000
August to November: ₹2,000
December to March: ₹2,000
With the view of digitising this process, the government has made it mandatory for farmers under this scheme to get e-KYC. To ensure its success, the government put forth the condition to complete this process before February 10, 2023. They can efficiently complete it from the PM Kisan portal itself.

There are different ways in which eligible farmers can apply for the PM Kisan Nidhi scheme. These include the following:
They can visit the nearest Common Service Centres (CSCs) to apply for this scheme. There they will have to fill in an application form, arrange the necessary documents and pay the fees to complete the process.
They can approach village patwaris, revenue officials or other government offices offering registration under this scheme.
