The Punjab National Bank credit card charges can be broadly divided into four categories: annual fees, late payment fees, cash advance charges and finance charges. Here’s a look at the four types of PNB credit card fees:

The joining fee is the charge that you’re required to pay at the time of activation of the credit card. The joining fees that you’re required to pay towards a PNB card is dependent on the type of card. Some cards may not levy any such fees, while others may levy fees ranging from ₹500 to ₹1,500. Here’s a table outlining the different PNB fees for various cards.

3. PNB cash advance fee: There can be a scenario where you require urgent cash and withdraw cash using your PNB credit card from an ATM. For these transactions, the fee levied by the bank is called cash transaction fees. Remember, you can only withdraw the amount which is in sync with your pre-existing cash withdrawal limit. PNB charges a cash advance fee of 2% of the cash withdrawn or up to a maximum of Rs for every cash withdrawal transaction. 300, whichever is higher. The PNB cash advance fee is added to your monthly bill.

If you fail to settle the amount withdrawn as cash within the prescribed period, the outstanding balance will be carried forward, and this attracts finance charges according to the average daily balance method.

4. PNB finance charges for revolving credit: If you don’t have sufficient finances to pay your credit card dues, you can opt to avail of the provision of revolving credit. Here, you can pay an amount less than the total outstanding amount. In this scenario, your outstanding balance, along with the amount from new transactions, will attract a finance charge.

Till the payment of your previous dues, PNB will levy an interest rate of 2.95% per month as finance charges. For credit cards issued against fixed deposits, the finance charges are 1.5% per month.
