The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a scheme offered by the Government of India to the citizens of India. As per the scheme, the citizens of the country can avail housing facilities. As per the Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme, eligible citizens of India can avail a subsidy of 6.5% on home loans.

PMAY : Other Documents

The list of other Awas Yojana document includes:

 

  • Death Certificate

  • Marriage Certificates

  • A Declaration proving that the beneficiary does not own a pucca house

  • Construction Agreement with the builder, Valuation Certificate for the prospective property, Advance payment receipt, in case of property under construction declaration

PMAY Eligibility Criteria

  • The beneficiary and the beneficiary family must not have any pucca house in the country

  • The beneficiary or beneficiary’s family must not have used the subsidy provided under the CLSS scheme

  • The borrower’s family must have a minimum of one female member as owner or co-owner of the property in the case of EWS and LIG

The PMAY subsidy scheme is available for four categories including the Economically Weaker Section, Lower Income Group, Middle Income Group - MIG I, and Middle Income Group 2- MIG 2. The annual household income of the applicant must be as per the details below. PMAY Eligibility Criteria for different applicant groups are:

  • In the case of the Economically Weaker Section or EWS, the annual income needs to be less than Rs. 3 Lakhs

  • For the Low-Income Group or LIG group, the annual income needs to be up to Rs. 6 Lakhs

  • For the Mid-Income Group or MIG, the annual income can be up to 12 Lakhs in the case of MIG1, and an annual income of up to 18 Lakhs is fine for MIG2
