The Indian government has made the PMAY list for 2022-23 available on the official website of the housing program on August 22, 2022. The list includes details such as the number of homes sanctioned, number of homes fully constructed, money transferred and other kinds of relevant information. A prospective beneficiary can go and take a look at the same on the website mentioned above, provided they have their PMAY credentials on them.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna is an initiative launched by the Prime Minister of India in June 2015, which is a government-funded scheme, aimed at constructing 2 Crore homes for the urban and rural poor in India, by 31st March 2022. On 11 August 2022, the 2 crore target was revised to 2.95 crores and the deadline was changed to December 31, 2024. Additionally, the Finance ministry has sanctioned a total of ₹48,000 crores for the completion of stalled projects and timely delivery of under-construction homes.
If one is a beneficiary of the scheme, they can easily look up their application status on the official website of PMAY. All he/she will need is the reference number provided to them at the time of them applying.
The last phase of the PMAY housing scheme was initially supposed to conclude on March 31, 2022. But, mostly due to the delay caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the conclusion date for the last phase of the PMAY scheme has been revised to December 31, 2024.

The officials at the helm of the PMAY scheme have released a mobile application for the beneficiaries called ‘Awaas’ so that they can keep a tab on everything related to their PMAY status. Developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the Awaas app allows a beneficiary to check their application status as well as the status of the subsidy released. Additionally, the mobile application also lets the relevant parties perform actions such as FTO tracking and uploading of the current status of house construction.
The defining features of the ‘Awaas’ mobile app are as follows:
Quick and easy login: To check the PMAY details, the beneficiary will need to perform a one-time registration on the app. From the second time around, all he or she will need to log in is a one time password (OTP)
Detailed information: The Awaas mobile application allows the beneficiaries to access information such as the construction status of the house and the information regarding the funds released with the help of a few clicks on their screen. On top of that, beneficiaries can also request for any assistance related to PMAY within seconds thanks to the application.
High definition images: The beneficiaries will also get to access quality images of their under-construction property through the mobile software. These images will also have information such as timestamps and geographical coordinates of the house printed on them.
Easy navigation: The ‘Awaas’ app is easy to navigate and thanks to its ease of use, the beneficiary can access any information and place any kind of relevant service request within minutes.
Data security: The app will only disburse information that is relevant to a user, depending on the kind of user they are. For example, a beneficiary can only access a limited amount of information, and the same goes for the house inspector.
The CLSS Helpline numbers are as follows:
National Housing Board (NHB): 1800-11-33-77 , 1800-11-3388
Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO): 1800-11-6163
