PNB Credit Card Eligibility Criteria

The applicant should meet the following criteria:

1. Age - The applicant should be between the age of 21 and 70 years. Anyone under this age category has PNB credit card eligibility. For add-on cards, the minimum age limit will be 18 years.

2. Educational qualification - The applicant should be literate and must have passed the 10th class.

3. Nationality - The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

4. Independent source of income: The applicant should have an independent source of income, and the proof of income has to be enclosed with the application. Primary credit cards will not be issued to persons/students with no independent financial means. This is not applicable on add-on cards.

5. Annual income - To fulfill PNB bank credit card eligibility, you should be either a salaried professional or a self-employed individual. While issuing a credit card, PNB credit card eligibility minimum salary is considered. Here are the PNB bank credit card eligibility criteria based on minimum annual income.

Documents Required for PNB Credit Card

1. Application form - It can be downloaded from the PNB’s Official website or procured from any Punjab National Bank branch.

2. Photograph - A copy of the recent picture taken.

3. Proof of present/correspondence / permanent residence - Aadhaar card, Driver’s License, Passport, Ration Card, Property Registration Document, Person of Indian Origin Card, Bank Account Statement, etc.

4. Proof of identity - Aadhaar card, Driver’s License, PAN Card, Passport, Voter’s ID, Overseas Citizen of India Card, Person of Indian Origin Card, etc

5. Proof of income - Any of the following latest documents can be submitted.

For existing PNB customers who are salaried persons or pensioners

  • Latest 3 Months Salary Slip

  • Salary Certificate (not more than 3 year old)

  • IT return duly acknowledged by IT Department

  • Form 16

For existing PNB customers who are self – employed / professionals

IT return duly acknowledged by IT Department for last 2 years.

For new PNB customers who are salaried persons or pensioners

  • ITR/Salary Slip and Copy of latest Statement of Account (SOA) (showing transactions done within the last 6 months).

  • Pension slip/last 6 months bank statement in which the pension credit is reflected.

For new PNB customers who are self – employed / professionals

  • IT return duly acknowledged by IT Department for last 2 years.

  • Copy of latest Statement of Account (SOA) (showing transactions done within last 6 months)

  • Stable income source

The applicant should be a salaried professional or a self-employed individual and must have a stable source of income. This is proof to the bank that the person will be able to pay the credit card bill.

  • Credit Score

The chances for card approval are high if the applicant has a better credit score and a long non-defaulted credit history. A credit score above 750 is considered good to apply for a PNB credit card.

  • Location

Before applying for a PNB credit card, an applicant should check the list of serviceable cities or locations. Banks do not provide their services in certain locations.

  • Age of the Applicant
