The Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana aims to offer financial aid to economically weaker tribals in the state, so they can afford healthcare services. The scheme aims to improve the effectiveness of the healthcare system in Arunachal Pradesh. It also strives to plug gaps in secondary and tertiary healthcare by 2030.
To be eligible for the CMAAY scheme, you must be a resident of Arunachal Pradesh, must be enrolled under Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe, or belong to other such backward communities.
CMAAY offers cashless treatment insurance to people at their empanelled hospitals without any hassle.
The expenses incurred in the medical treatment will be covered by the funds sanctioned by the State Government.
The state government ensures that the empanelled hospitals offer quality medical services and facilities to individuals who are seeking treatments under CMAAY.
These can either be government, private, semi-private, or trust hospitals. However, they must be enrolled under CMAAY.
The medical bills and expenses incurred by the tribal community are covered by Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana, which helps reduce the stress of arranging funds during medical emergencies.
Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana offers cashless treatment coverage for around 23 secondary and tertiary healthcare categories.
If you are interested in availing the benefits of the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana, you have to fulfil the following requirements to be eligible:
You should be legally residing in Arunachal Pradesh
You should belong to any of the tribal communities that come under state jurisdiction. Those enrolled in the Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) will receive CMAAY benefits directly
You must be employed by the State Government. In this case, your dependents also qualify for the benefits of the insurance scheme
You must belong to backward communities living in Changlang, Lohit or Namsai with resident certificates which indicate that you hold land in these areas

The following documentation should be kept handy when applying for the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana:
The applicant should provide his or her Aadhar Card compulsorily. If dependents are to be enrolled in the scheme, their Aadhar would also be needed to establish proof of their relationship with the primary policyholder
Arunachal Pradesh Schedule Tribe (APST) members need to furnish the tribal certificate issued to them by the state government
A valid resident certificate issued by an authority is required for those who are not members of APST such as those living in Namsai, Lohit & Changlang districts
Those working with the Arunachal Pradesh government departments need to produce their ID card. Additionally, a legal birth certificate or marriage certificate is required as proof of relationship with the policyholder in case of the addition of new family members such as a child or spouse, respectively.

Open the Chief Minister Arogya Arunachal Yojana (CMAAY) website, www.cmaay.com
On the main page, click on the box titled ‘Enrollment’.
You will see 3 options- How to enrol, Check and Enroll
Go to the ‘Enroll’ option to initiate your subscription and press ‘Apply’
You will then be directed to a new page. Choose whether you are a ‘government employee’ or ‘public’
Once you have selected an option, you need to fill in all your personal as well as supporting information such as name, gender, address, government ID, etc.
Click on ‘Save’ to process your form once you have filled and verified the information.
You can check your status on the website in a few days by pressing the link www.cmaay.com/CheckStatus.aspx. Key in your district and Aadhar number to know if you are eligible
