Eligible individuals can obtain financial assistance of up to ₹5 Lakhs to start or expand a micro-enterprise, subject to project approval by the lending bank.

No Collateral Requirement

Loans under the Bhabishyat Credit Card Scheme are collateral-free, meaning applicants are not required to pledge any asset as security.

Government Subsidy

The Government of West Bengal provides a capital subsidy of 10% of the approved project cost, capped at ₹25,000.

Interest Rate of 4% per Annum

The effective Bhabishyat credit card interest rate for the borrower is 4% per year. The remaining interest component, as applicable under bank norms, is subsidised by the West Bengal State Government.

Credit Guarantee Coverage

The loan is covered under the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE), along with support from the Government of West Bengal.

Bhabishyat Credit Card Scheme Fees and Charges

  • Processing Fee: No processing fee is charged to applicants.

  • Application Fee: Nil. The scheme is free to apply.

  • Collateral Charges: No collateral or security required.

  • Guarantor Charges: No guarantor needed.

  • Interest Rate: Loans are offered at a subsidized interest rate of 4% per annum.

  • Prepayment Charges: Usually not applicable; borrowers can repay early without penalty (subject to bank terms).

  • Late Payment Charges: Applicable as per the lending bank’s rules if EMI payments are delayed.

Documents Required for WBBCCS

  • PAN Card: Required for financial verification and loan processing

  • Aadhaar Card: Accepted as proof of identity and address

  • Residential Proof: Ration Card, Voter ID, or other valid proof confirming permanent residence in West Bengal

  • Detailed Project Report (DPR): A written proposal outlining the nature of the business, estimated project cost, revenue projections, and fund utilisation plan

  • Udyam Registration Certificate: Required if the applicant has registered the micro or small enterprise under the MSME framework

  2. Scroll down slightly to find the 'Apply Online' button on the right side

  3. Enter your username/email/mobile number and password

  4. Type in the image code and click on ‘Sign In’

  5. Complete the application form with the required details

  6. Upload all necessary documents to complete the application process
     

The bank will verify your eligibility criteria and documents for authentication and approve or reject the application. You can track your application through the official portal by logging in and opening the dashboard to check the status of your Bhabishyat credit card application.

Bhabishyat Credit Card Scheme Online Application

The Bhabishyat Credit Card Scheme is open for online applications through the official West Bengal government portal. Eligible residents can complete the Bhabishyat credit card online application process by submitting personal details, business information, and required documents digitally. 

Once approved, the applicant receives a smart card linked to a sanctioned loan amount of up to ₹5 Lakhs. Under the Bhabishyat Credit Card Scheme, the Government of West Bengal provides guarantee support for the loan, and a capital subsidy of 10% of the project cost (maximum ₹25,000) is credited as part of the assistance package. The loan can then be utilised strictly for the approved business purpose.
