A credit card is a powerful tool. It can, however, become scary if you lose or misplace it. That's why Credit Cards come with the safety feature of being blocked at the earliest. ICICI Bank's mobile banking app, iMobile, has undergone significant improvements. Card block / unblock is one of them.
If your ICICI credit card has been lost or stolen, you can use the iMobile Block/ Unblock Credit Card feature or use Whatsapp to disable your credit card temporarily. Once blocked, the fraudulent use of your ICICI credit card will not be possible. ICICI Credit Card unblocking is also available in the iMobile app, so you can unblock your card when you get it back. You need to open the application and enter your login details/ biometrics. Under the Manage tab, you can select your card and “Unblock” it.

Once you have got your credit card back, you can unblock it. If you cannot use the iMobile app, you may do so by calling the ICICI Credit Card Customer Care hotline. Call the 24X7 available customer service toll-free number 1860 120 7777 using your bank's registered phone number and complete the procedures below:
If you dial the Customer Service number, you will be connected to an interactive voice response system (IVR) (Interactive voice response). It will prompt you to choose your favourite language by hitting 1 or 2.
When it asks you to hit ‘0‘ (Zero) to unblock your card, press ‘0', then press 2 to unblock your card.
It will now prompt you to input your 16-digit card number, which can be found on the front of the card. Enter it and then hit 1 when it asks for confirmation.
It will then prompt you to verify your Credit Card Valid Thru/Expiry Date
When you input the Card Expiry date, it will ask you to verify your DOB (Date Of Birth)
You can now use your unblocked ICICI Credit Card
Call your bank branch or apply for a new credit card using the ICICI Internet Banking Service if your card does not get unblocked.
When you get your credit card back, then, using the iMobile app, you can unblock it again. If you want to know how to unblock ICICI credit cards for online transactions, follow these steps.
Tap the “Block/Unblock Credit Card” option in Card Services.
Select credit cards under "Select Card Type."
“Choose the Action You Want to Take” Unblock is the option you need to choose.
Select your account under "Select Account No."
Select your Credit Card from the "Select Card Number" drop-down menu.
“Optional remarks” You can tell us why you wish to unblock the card by filling out this form.
After that, press the "Submit" button.
You can unblock ICICI Credit Cards using Whatsapp also. Just follow these steps:
Save the number 8640086400 on your device and open it on Whatsapp
You will receive an OTP on the registered mobile number, use it to verify your identity
Type “Menu” and send
Next, you need to select “Credit Card Service”
After that, reply with the option “Block/ Unblock my ICICI Credit Card”
Click on Unblock
Soon you will receive an OTP for confirmation. Once confirmed, your ICICI credit card will be unblocked
The following are some of the reasons why you may need to block credit card:
The credit card has been compromised
If you used the card to withdraw cash from ATM but did not receive the money
You were notified about a transaction but did not complete it
If you have lost your credit card
Yes, you can unblock your credit card ICICI. Simply, log in to the iMobile app, click on ‘Block/Unblock Credit Card’ under Card Services, click on ‘Select Card Type’ and choose the ‘Unblock’ option. You would need to then provide the account number and the card number along with any additional remarks you might have. Once all details are entered, you need to click on the ‘Submit’ button to unblock your credit card.
To unblock ICICI Credit Card offline, you can speak to a customer care executive on the toll-free number 1860 120 7777. You can also visit an ICIC Bank branch office and request the same.
To reactivate the ICICI credit card, you need to be registered for net banking, for which your credit card should be linked to your registered mobile number. On the website, go to ‘Services’, select your card, enter the PIN and click on Submit. You can also reactivate your credit card through your ATM or call Customer Care.
To start using the iMobile app, you first need to download it to your smartphone. You can then select “Activate Now” and verify using your registered mobile number. Once verified, you can log in using your Customer ID and password.
