Explore the CSD Bike Price List 2025, eligibility criteria, required documents, and benefits of buying two-wheelers from the CSD canteen.
The Canteen Stores Department (CSD) was set up in 1948. It serves the purpose of providing various products, appliances, and vehicles to the members of the Indian Armed Forces, ex-servicemen (ESM), and their families at discounted rates.
Today, there are 35 CSD depots across India, which operate through thousands of Unit Run Canteens (URCs) under the Ministry of Defence. These URCs act as the direct source to support various needs associated with the members of the Indian Armed Forces and their families.
When planning to purchase a two-wheeler from a CSD depot, check the latest CSD bike prices and the available brands. Before applying, you need to review the eligibility criteria carefully. CSD items are sold under specific rules and conditions, so you have to meet all requirements before proceeding with the purchase.

The primary purpose of CSD canteens is to provide quality products at subsidised prices. So, when you buy a two-wheeler from CSD, you can expect the following:
Only a part of the GST is levied on two-wheelers bought from CSD. This reduces the ex-showroom price of the two-wheeler.
The purchase price, in the insurance company’s terms, is known as the Insured's Declared Value (IDV). This is a key factor in determining your overall insurance premium. Since the IDV is lower for the same vehicle as compared to market rates, you can save on insurance costs.
CSD has partnered with some of the leading brands to ensure the members of the Indian Defence Services get top-quality products and services. On buying a two-wheeler from CSD, you can be assured of its quality and performance.
With the launch of the CSD AFD online portal, purchasing a two-wheeler has become much more convenient. You can select your bike, upload the necessary documents, make the payment, and track your order.
This process saves time and reduces the need for multiple visits to the CSD depot or dealer.
The CSD price list is clear and transparent. You only need to pay for the bike and official charges such as insurance and registration directly to the dealer. There are no additional or hidden costs.
The CSD Bike Price List for 2025 includes all the latest models along with their current prices. The list undergoes regular updates whenever manufacturers revise their prices or new models are introduced.
Using this, you can plan your budget in case you need any loans to buy the bike of your choice. On Bajaj Markets, not only can you find the best loan options, but you can also use the bike loan EMI calculator to know your monthly instalments and plan your finances.
Ordinary civilians not connected to the Defence sector cannot buy bikes from the CSD Canteen. Only serving and retired Armed Forces personnel and defence civilian employees are eligible.
Only eligible serving personnel, ex-servicemen, pensioners, and official next of kin are authorised to buy a two-wheeler from CSD.
