Kanpur Electricity Supply Company Limited (KESCO) offers a dedicated online portal for all consumers to view and settle their bills in a few clicks. Users can choose from various payment methods such as UPI, net banking, credit and debit cards for a smooth and secure experience.
Paying your KESCO electricity bill online is fast, secure and saves you the hassle of standing in queues, letting you settle dues anytime from a computer or smartphone. You can use KESCO’s official portal or popular third-party payment apps for added convenience.
To pay via the state’s sanctioned platform, follow these steps:
Go to the UPPCL payment page at https://consumer.uppcl.org/wss/pay_bill_home and select ‘Pay Bill Online’.
Choose ‘KESCO’ as your distribution company from the dropdown list.
Enter your Consumer Number exactly as shown on your latest bill and complete the Captcha verification.
Click ‘Submit’ to fetch your current bill details on screen.
Review the bill amount and select your preferred payment option—UPI, net banking, debit/credit card or wallet.
Complete the transaction and download or screenshot the digital receipt for your records.
You can also settle your KESCO electricity bill using a range of authorised third-party apps and websites such as Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon Pay, and others. You can usually do so by following these these universal steps:
Open your preferred payment app or website.
Go to the relevant section like ‘Pay Bills’ and select ‘Electricity’ from the list of bill categories.
Choose ‘Kanpur Electricity Supply Company (KESCO)’ as the billing provider.
Enter your Consumer Number exactly as printed on your latest KESCO bill, then tap on the option like ‘Fetch Bill’ or ‘Proceed’ to continue.
Review your bill details, verify the amount due, and select your desired payment method—UPI, net banking, debit/credit card, wallet balance, etc.

KESCO is a Government of Uttar Pradesh undertaking under the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited. It was formed on 14 January 2000 to manage electricity distribution in the Kanpur municipal area. The company is incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, by the U.P. Government. KESCO serves over 7,05,412 domestic, commercial and industrial consumers across Kanpur city. Its network comprises 93 substations at 33 kV level and more than 3,000 distribution transformers.
Headquartered at Kesa House, 14/71 Civil Lines, Kanpur, it oversees customer services and day-to-day operations. KESCO operates under the Electricity Act, 2003, complying with UPERC’s supply code and tariff orders. The company focuses on expanding its distribution infrastructure and reducing technical and commercial losses. It provides online services including bill payment, complaint registration and grievance tracking for streamlined consumer support.
Your KESCO consumer number is printed on the top right of your physical bill. You can also view it by logging into the KESCO portal under ‘My Connection’ or by fetching your bill via the UPPCL payment page using your registered mobile number.
Visit the UPPCL payment portal at http://consumer.uppcl.org/wss/pay_bill_home, select ‘KESCO’ as your provider, enter your consumer number and fetch your current dues. Then choose your preferred digital option—UPI, net banking, debit/credit card or wallet—and complete the payment to finish your Kanpur electricity bill payment securely.
You can settle your kesco bill payment via multiple channels: UPI, net banking, debit/credit cards, mobile wallets and even through third-party apps like Google Pay, Paytm or PhonePe. Major banks and recognised NBFCs also offer auto-pay facilities and reminders to help you avoid late fees.
