Infosys’s tax-related uncertainty was removed following the closure of a significant GST case by the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI).
The Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) has formally closed the pre-show cause notice proceedings against Infosys related to an alleged GST demand of ₹32,403 crore. The case covered the financial years 2017-18 to 2021-22 and concerned the non-payment of Integrated GST (IGST) under the Reverse Charge Mechanism for services sourced from Infosys’s overseas offices
