The mutation of a plot of land is a process of transferring the ownership of property from one person to another. Leasehold and freehold properties can be mutated as well. The mutation process is typically carried out at the MCD (Municipal Corporation of Delhi), the DDA (Delhi Development Authority), and the Land and Development Office.
1. The documents which will be required for the mutation of a property are:
The sale deed copy
A no objection certificate from the board of housing
A duly attested undertaking form from the transferee on a ₹10 stamp paper
A duly attested indemnity bond on a ₹100 stamp paper
A copy of the property tax clearance receipt
Appointment fee of ₹100 and a composition fee of ₹50
2. In case if the property has been inherited, the following documents must be submitted:

Khata (Account) number: Also known as the Khewat Number, Khata number can be defined as a numerical figure assigned to the family that are the current owners of the land in its entirety. In certain Indian states, the Khata number is also referred to as the Jamabandi number.
Khasra number: The Khasra number can be defined as a numerical figure that is assigned to an individual who is an owner of a portion of a land.
Division name: This is essentially the name given to the district where the land you want the details of resides.

Khatauni Delhi number is a number that is given to cultivators. These are individuals who practice cultivation on a given land.
The Khasra number can be obtained from the Tehsildar’s office. You may also obtain it through the official website of the revenue department.
The name of the owner of the plot which is based in Delhi can be verified by simply logging in to the Delhi Bhulekh website. Then, on the home page, one must click on the khasra and khatauni details.
