May 2023:A Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra was inaugurated by the Union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy at Warasiguda in Secunderabad. Launched with the purpose of helping people get access to quality generic medicines at affordable prices, Mr Reddy emphasised how Jan Aushadhi Kendras do not just provide healthcare service to the common man but also work towards generating employment opportunities for the youth of the state.
The minister also highlighted that compared to the regular medical stores, medicines sold at Jan Aushadhi Kendras are almost 50% to 90% cheaper, without a compromise on the quality of these medicines.
IGRS AP (Intelligence Gathering and Retrieval System Andhra Pradesh) is an online platform launched by Andhra Pradesh Government that helps all citizens access property-related information from anywhere at any time. This platform is the online counterpart of the Registration and Stamps Department of Andhra Pradesh.
Below are some of the online services that IGRS AP offers to its users:
This service on the online platform allows citizens to check registration details by simply filling in a few relevant details. To do this, you have to fill out the document number, layout plots/apartment from the dropdown menu on the page.
For plots, you will have to select the district, Mandal, village, after which you have to add the survey number, plot number and survey number list.
For apartments, you have to add the apartment name, flat number, house number.
After this, all you have to do is click “submit” and you will be able to view your registration details.
An Encumbrance Certificate (EC) is a certificate of assurance that attests that the property in question is free from any monetary or legal liabilities like uncleared loans or a mortgage. The IGRS AP website allows users to search for encumbrance certificates to check for an encumbrance on properties registered in the Sub-Registrar’s offices, which earlier had to be done in person. The search process is simple:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IGRS AP.
Step 2: Move to the “list of services” section
Step 3: Select “Encumbrance Search”, which will take you to a page that gives you an in-detail view of Encumbrance.

You must select the district and Sub-Registrar Office (SRO) location in order to search for an EC in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

3. Property partition: In the event that all involved parties have common or equal property, the partition of property can be brought into effect. However, stamp duty must be paid regardless of whether it’s mandatorily registered or not.

Section 17 of the Indian Registration Act states that all of the property-related transactions must be compulsorily registered at Andhra Pradesh Registrar’s office.
