Launched under the Kerala Land Information Mission, E-Rekha by BhoomiKerelam is the Kerala Government’s official digital land survey and record repository. This simplified platform helps citizens of Kerala obtain survey and land records online. In fact, the E-Rekha portal also allows users to download land survey records against nominal charges. By digitising land records, the portal streamlines their access for various stakeholders like land owners, property buyers, tenants, and others.
The E-Rekha Portal was created to fulfil the following objectives:
To preserve land records in a digital archive
To ensure the digital accessibility of land records and survey documents for landowners and other stakeholders
To bring transparency in land record and transaction management
Follow these steps to check and download Kerala land records from the E-Rekha portal:
Visit the E-Rekha website at erekha.kerala.gov.in.
Go to ‘File Search’ and click on ‘Old Survey Records’.
Fill in your district, taluk, village, block number, and survey number details.
Click on ‘Submit’ to preview the document.
To check resurvey records, follow these steps:
Go to the E-Rekha portal.
Click on ‘File Search’.
Select the ‘Resurvey Records’ option.
On the redirected page, enter requisite details like your district, taluk, village, block number, and survey number.
Click on ‘Submit’.

Go to the E-Rekha portal.
Click on ‘File Search’ and select ‘District Maps’.
Select the required district to preview the map on your screen.
To help holistically digitise land records, the E-Rekha portal also allows for land record verification online. Here’s how you can submit a verification application:
Go to the E-Rekha portal.
Click on the ‘Verification’ tab on the home screen.
Fill up the document verification application form with the necessary details.
Upload the PDF document file to be verified.
Enter the displayed captcha and click on ‘Submit’.
File Measurement Book or FMB data is essentially a comprehensive record of map data pertaining to different district, taluk, block, and village levels. Here’s how you can check FMB data for Kerala through the E-Rekha portal:
Visit the E-Rekha portal and click on the ‘Record Catalogue’ tab
On the next page, click on the ‘List of FMB Data Online’ option.
District level FMB data will be displayed in a tabular form on the next page.
To view FMB data within a taluk, click on the ‘Show Villages and Block’ option.
Click on ‘Show Survey Numbers’ to check survey numbers for each village.

You can use UPI, IMPS, NEFT, debit cards, credit cards, and mobile wallets to make payments on the E-Rekha Kerala portal.
You can easily reset the password in case you forgot it. To reset your password, click on “Forgot Password” and enter your registered email ID. An email will be sent with a link to reset your password.
To check the list of settlement data online, you need to visit the E-Rekha website, then click on the ‘Record Catalogue’ option. Next, click on the ‘Settlement Data Online’ option, where the settlement data will be listed in a tabular format. To view the settlement data for each Taluka, click on ‘Show Villages and Blocks’ under ‘Detailed View’.
FMB or Field Measurement Book is a compilation of map data stored in the form of a book at the respective Tehsildar office.
