Terms and Conditions

1.      I hereby give an explicit consent to American Express Banking Corp. (“AEBC/American Express”) to (a) share my information with relevant credit reference agencies, for the purpose of conducting credit check and (b) to contact me on email and mobile number shared by me to (i) inform me if I am eligible for any American Express Card(s) and (ii) to collect any additional details from me, even if I am registered with the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR) and opted out of receiving all promotional calls and messages.

2.      I hereby give an explicit consent to AEBC for collecting/downloading and verifying my details with/from CKYCR registry basis information/details provided by me. In the case the details provided by me does not match with CKYCR registry, I shall provide the revised correct information/details to AEBC.

3.      I hereby confirm that I am a Resident as defined under the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961 and I hereby declare that I will notify AEBC, if there is a change in my residential status.

4.      I hereby give an explicit consent to AEBC to verify information provided by me and to receive and exchange information about me including requesting reports from my bank, consumer credit, social media, reference schemes or credit information companies/bureaus and Credit Information Companies (CIC) as authorised by Reserve Bank of India. I authorize AEBC and its affiliates/representatives/agents to contact the aforesaid sources for information pertaining to me at any time and to use information provided by me and information obtained from aforesaid sources for operational, administrative and to service the card account(s). I declare and undertake that the card(s) issued to me, if used overseas shall be used strictly in accordance with the extant Exchange Control Regulations issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

5.      I hereby agree and confirm that in the event I exceed my entitlements as per the Exchange Control Guidelines of the RBI, I undertake to bring the same immediately to the notice of AEBC, in writing. Obtaining any approval from RBI for excess foreign exchange spending shall be my responsibility and I shall bring the same immediately to the notice of AEBC.

6.      I understand that the basic cardmember will be liable for all charges incurred on the basic card, any additional card and any supplementary card. The Supplementary Cardmember accepts joint and several responsibility for all charges incurred on the supplementary card issued to him/her.

7.      I hereby explicitly agree and confirm that AEBC has shared the Most Important Terms and Conditions (MITC) for the American Express® card(s) with me in compliance of the RBI master circular on credit card operations of banks and I have read, understood and I accept the MITC.

8.      I understand that AEBC may decline any card(s) application at its absolute and sole discretion and I am aware that AEBC strongly respects and honours customer privacy and I am aware AEBC Privacy policy is available for viewing on https://www.americanexpress.com/in/content/privacy-statement.html. I am aware and understand that (a) the additional factor of authentication is mandated by RBI vide letter DPSS.PDCONO223/02.14.003/2011-12 dated August 4, 2011 and (b) use of cards for travel and related CNP Transactions without such additional factor of authentication carries security risk and such cards are vulnerable to frauds.

9.      I agree and confirm that in the event of change in my correspondence address due to relocation or any other reason, I will intimate my new address to AEBC within two weeks of such a change. I understand that in the event of change in the address mentioned as per proof of address, I will submit fresh proof of address to AEBC within a period of three months of such a change.

10.    I confirm that the information/details provided herein are true and correct as of date.

11.    I hereby agree and confirm that I have read and understood the AEBC privacy policy available and updated from time to time on https://www.americanexpress.com/india/microsite/privacy_statement/ and I hereby explicitly agree to the same.

12.    I understand and agree that the first payment made on my Amex card will be made via a Know Your Customer (KYC)-complied account as maintained by me with another Scheduled Commercial Bank in India. I also understand that in the event I make the first payment via cash towards my Amex Card, my card account will be permanently cancelled without any further notice and will not be eligible for reinstatement.

I understand that my personal and sensitive information may be used and shared by AEBC in accordance with its Privacy policy, as updated on the website. 4.      I understand and agree that the first payment made on my Amex card will be made via a Know Your Customer (KYC)-complied account as maintained by me with another Scheduled Commercial Bank in India. I provide my consent to verify the information in social media such as (but not limited to) LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp etc and the Eligibility form with Credit Information Companies. I also provide my consent to be contacted by email/mobile, even if I am registered with the National Customer Preference Register (NCPR) and opted out of receiving all promotional calls and messages. Card Authorization Statement: 

1. I have been informed about the fee structure for the card and I consent for the same to be charged as applicable per the offer, in my first statement and annually thereafter. I further understand and agree to the levy of all additional statutory levies, charges, taxes, Goods & Services Tax (GST), as applicable on all fees, interest and other charges as per the government of India regulations and agree to pay the same.  

 

2. I understand and agree that the card issued by Axis Bank has also been activated for International usage. 

 

3. I authorize Axis Bank to increase my credit limit once within 6 months of card issuance knowing that Axis Bank internal policies and other terms and conditions will be applicable. 

 

4. I hereby apply for the issue of Axis Bank Myzone Credit Card to me and declare that the information included in this application is true and correct and that I am a Resident Indian and that I am eligible to apply for an internationally valid Card. 

 

5. I accept that Axis Bank is entitled in its absolute discretion to accept or reject this application 

 

6. I unconditionally agree and accept that, the data provided by me to the Bank during the application process for acquiring such relationship(s) is true to the best of my knowledge and belief, and if at any stage of processing the relationship if it comes to the knowledge of the bank or if the bank is of the opinion that I have provided any incorrect information and / or fabricated documents, and / or fake documents, and / or documents appearing to have been manipulated, they will be treated by the bank as having been manipulated by me. I hereby understand and agree that it is my responsibility to obtain, read and understand the Terms and Conditions related to the Axis Bank Myzone Credit Card and those applicable to mobile and Internet Banking Services. If this application is accepted, I hereby undertake to be bound by the Terms and Conditions as may be in force from time to time and use of the Axis Bank Myzone Credit Card shall be deemed to be unconditional and irrevocable acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. 

 

7. I further authorise Axis Bank and/or its associates/subsidiaries/affiliates to verify, share and compare any information / data or otherwise at my office / residence and / or contact me and / or my family members and/or my employer / banker / credit bureau/ RBI and/or any third party such as other bank/ Financial institution/ Credit Information Company during the process of processing my application or otherwise as they deem necessary.  

 

8. I authorize Axis Bank to exchange, share or part with all the information relating to me and repayment history to credit bureaus, agencies, statutory bodies, service providers, market research agencies for conducting research as may be required and shall not hold Axis Bank (or market research agencies) liable for use/sharing of this information. 

 

9. From time to time, Axis Bank communicates various new products/special features of existing products/promotional offers which are of significant benefits to its customers. I hereby provide my consent to receive information/service etc. for marketing purposes through Telephone/Mobile/SMS/E-Mails by the bank/its agents. 

 

10. I understand and undertake that the usage of the Axis Bank Myzone Credit Card shall be strictly for bona fide personal purchase of goods and/or services and in accordance with all applicable laws (including without limitation to any government acts, orders, decrees, guidelines, rules & regulations including foreign exchange control regulations) and in the event of any failure to do so, 

I will be liable for any action/prosecution or penalty as prescribed. I shall not use the card to purchase anything to resell for commercial or business purposes to derive any financial gains. I shall not be able to claim Input Tax credit on GST levied on this card. 

 

11. In case, I have applied for and been issued an additional Card (available for Resident Indian Parent, spouse, brother, sister or child aged 18 years and above) I will be billed separately for such an additional card in normal monthly statement. Further I agree that all communication pertaining to the add–on card holder shall be addressed to me. I understand that the continuation of the membership of the additional card member will be dependent on the continuation of my membership. 

 

12. I unconditionally agree and undertake that the Bank shall be at its liberty to share any information with any other banks/ Financial Institution either as a part of consortium or as a part of sole banking relationship or to any Credit Information Company as the Bank may so decide. I / we waive the confidentiality obligations with respect to the information provided to the bank. I / We further agree that, we shall not hold the bank liable for any cost of reputation for the sharing of such information as is considered necessary by the Bank in its sole and exclusive opinion and without any reference to me/us whatsoever with such Bank/Financial Institution/Credit information Company and to hold harmless the employees, officers, directors, agents etc. that may be so appointed by the bank.  

 

 

13. In case credit card is being sent on mailing address when my permanent address is updated with Bank - I declare and confirm that for opening Credit Card account with Axis Bank, my local address is to be recorded as my mailing address in the application and I have submitted the permanent address proof to the bank. I authorize the bank to send all correspondence, including all deliverables to me at the aforementioned mailing address. I undertake to immediately inform the bank in case there is a change in my registered correspondence, but not later than 2 weeks of such change. In case the address submitted by me as proof, undergoes a change, I note to submit the fresh proof of address to the branch for updation of the records. I hereby agree and undertake to hold harmless and keep Axis Bank fully indemnified against claims and damages, which may be in respect hereof by reason of Axis Bank relying and acting on this declaration. 

 

14. I hereby acknowledge and agree that my demographic and personal details will get updated as per the new application form. The new details will be updated for my existing card/s (if any)
