May 2023:The Bihar government has recently taken a milestone step in building software to upload land records when a land parcel is reserved for land acquisition. Using the software the owner of the property/ land would be able to upload the ownership documents. While the portal would improve the overall transparency in land acquisition, it would be especially beneficial for landowners who are not living in Bihar or are residing elsewhere.
The system for managing and preserving land records in Bihar would allow the user to check land records, land MVR and apply for Dakhil Kharij and many more such services. So far, the owner comes to know about a forgery and receives compensation very late. The online database, Land Record Bihar will bring efficacy and transparency to land acquisition.
