  • Documents required

    Please keep the following information handy while registering a claim:

    • Engine and Chassis Number
    • Accident date and time
    • Description and location of the accident
    • Four-wheeler inspection address
    • Km. reading
    • Police complaint, in case of theft

    Please note that in case of theft, you would need to file a police complaint as soon as possible, so that when you are registering a claim with us you are able to produce the same, along with the other documents.

  • Vehicle Repair

    Whether your four-wheeler is vandalized, meets with a collision, or gets damaged by some peril, you would need to take it to the garage, if it is in a movable condition, or have it towed there to avoid any further damage.

  • Claim Settlement

    You will have to submit the copies of all the required documents to the garage/dealer who is helping you with your vehicle insurance claim and get them verified with the originals. Following which, we will make the payment for the repair directly to the network garage once it is ready to be sent back to you. Do note that you will have to pay the excess amount according to the norms mentioned in your policy that include depreciation amount, salvage etc. which will be informed to you by our surveyor.

  • Company Cancellation

    The insurance provider may cancel your insurance policy providing a written notice 15-days prior to the date of cancellation. If no claim has been made, a refund of the premium for the unexpired policy period shall be provided on a pro-rata basis.

    Your insurance policy will be cancelled for reasons such as non-disclosure of material facts, misrepresentation, fraud and non-cooperation.

  • Customer Cancellation

    As a customer, you may cancel your insurance policy by providing a written notice 15 days prior to cancellation date. If you've made no claims, the insurer will refund short-term rates for the unexpired policy period.

Your policy can be renewed annually either online or offline depending on your policy terms and conditions. In some cases, an individual might get a grace period after the policy lapse. However, if there is still a delay from the policyholder, the policy will lapse, and the claims will not be accepted.


Steps to Renew your Car Insurance Policy

  • As a first step, you must enter your necessary details, including your policy number, date of policy and its expiry date.
  • Once you have entered this information, you will be provided with the details of your plan which you can check and review.
  • If any updates or changes have happened in the premium amount over the duration of 6 months to one year, it will be mentioned in the renewal details.
  • Once done reviewing, you need to agree to all the stated terms and conditions, and renew your car insurance policy. Upon renewal, the policy is functional again for you to avail its benefits!

    Under the Bajaj Allianz car insurance policy, you are covered against the following: 1. Own Damages: This includes damages caused to your vehicle due to theft, fire outbreaks, natural calamities, riots, terrorism and acts arising out of terrorism, accidents, self-ignition and lightning, 2. Third-party damage policy: Only covers legal liability for any damage caused by the policy holder to a third party. This also includes death, bodily injury or damage caused to property of a third party, 3. Personal Accident coverage for the driver-owner: This offers coverage in the event of an unfortunate incident resulting in death or disability of the owner/driver.

  • What do you mean by NCB for car insurance?

    NCB is the abbreviation of No Claim Bonus and it refers to a discount amount offered to the Bajaj Allianz car insurance policy holder during policy renewal. However, to avail NCB, the policy holder should not have made any claim/s during any previous policy tenure.

  • Are there any add-on covers that I can include in my online car insurance package?

The rules prescribed by the Government of India makes it mandatory to have third-party liability insurance in place.   • I plan to sell my car. If I do so, what will happen to my car insurance policy?

    You can transfer your Bajaj Allianz car insurance policy to the buyer of your vehicle by applying to your insurance company in writing. For this an endorsement (explained in the Motor Insurance page FAQs) needs to be made to the policy. However, do keep in mind the NCB or No Claim Bonus is not transferred and the difference in the amount needs to be paid. The seller (you) retains the NCB.

  • What do you mean by IDV for car insurance? How is this calculated?

    In simple terms, IDV or Insured's Declared Value is the current market of your car. It is the maximum sum assured that the car insurance company fixes on the vehicle which is provided only in the event of total loss or theft of the same. This is calculated on the basis of the selling price that is listed by the current manufacturer minus depreciation.

  • I want to know what is excluded from my car insurance policy!
