This scheme aims to empower Delhi’s unemployed youth and skilled individuals by supporting self-employment and small business initiatives.
Here are its key goals:
To create self-employment opportunities for unemployed youth and skilled individuals living in Delhi
To encourage small-scale industries, services, and trade-based activities within the limits of the Delhi Master Plan
To support artisans, professionals, and entrepreneurs in setting up their own ventures
To offer financial assistance through small loans with low personal contribution
To extend support to marginalised groups such as SC, ST, OBC, women, persons with disabilities, and ex-servicemen
To promote local business growth through structured marketing and loan support mechanisms
The scheme offers financial support, reduced personal contribution, and government subsidy to help you start or expand a business.
Here’s what you get:
You can apply for a loan of up to ₹3 Lakhs to start or grow your business in Delhi
You need to contribute only 10% of the loan amount. For SC, ST, OBC, women, disabled persons, and ex-servicemen, this is reduced to 5%
A subsidy of 15% of the project cost is available. The maximum limit is ₹7,500 per entrepreneur, and it is adjusted after 2 years
You get a 12-month moratorium and then repay the loan in equal quarterly instalments over the next 5 years
The scheme supports people with different educational or professional backgrounds—dropouts, artisans, technicians, and others
Loans can be availed for activities in manufacturing, services, or trade, as permitted under local regulations
You may get help in promoting your products through trade fairs, exhibitions, and recognition certificates
To apply for the Rajiv Gandhi Swavlamban Rojgar scheme, you must meet the following conditions:
