September 2023: The Tamil Nadu Housing Board has started applications for the sale of two LIG (lower income group) flats on a ‘first-come, first-served’ basis in Dhanalakshmi Nagar. The flats are part of the Nerkundram Phase 1 Scheme, located near the Taisha Complex in Chennai. Both flats are available under the Outright Payment scheme, where the allottee will have to pay 25% of the cost as registration and the remaining 75% within the next 30 days. Applications can be submitted from the 15th of September 2023 against a nominal cost of ₹315.

As a selected beneficiary, you are required to pay another 5% towards the provisional allotment order and the remaining 90% is to be paid within 30 days.

You should be at least 21 years old.
You should not own plots or property under any other housing scheme.
You should be a salaried employee qualifying under any one of the income categories.
